Default 335 points between RF and RN

This is getting really close.
What's gonna happen in the next 2 months?

Assuming this difference is after the MC points have dropped off, the difference will increase by another 1000 points this weekend since Rafa is playing MC and is most likely to defend his title. Federer has chosen to forgo his MC points and is cheering on his football team instead

Going by thread title, I though the OP was gonna show a video that encompassed 335 points played between the two.

I don't understand Federer skipping a Master's event. Why wouldn't he be trying to give himself the best possible chance take the #2 ranking and thus avoid playing Rafa and Novak in the same tournament? From a strategic standpoint I just don't get it.

He's 30 going on 31? Dude's played a ton of tennis since the US Open.

Federer is 30 and just played two MS, not to mention the fact that he didn't exactly chill after AO, he played DC,Rotterdam and Dubai.

He's already played 6 tourneys this year(and that's without DC), both Djoker and Nadal, 5 years younger, have played 4(without MC).

The guy needs his rest because from now on till summertime the schedule will be packed. I think he actually did the smart thing here.

Yes but apparently Djokovic is still planning on playing in the tournament.

May make him even more determined to win it now.

oooh
I start to imagine the drama if he wins RG...
In 1995 AO Sampras vs Courrier, down two sets, a fan called out "Come on, Pete do it for your coach." Sampras began to cry, then served an ace.
Djoko will cry, then grind

I know he's said it is to best prep for the French.
But I've got a question.
How does his achieving the #2 ranking make him avoid playing Rafa and Novak? I know he could be on the other side of the draw at some tournaments, but that is not guaranteed, is it? If he's 2 and Rafa were 3, wouldn't the same thing occur?

It doesn't,but you're going to get Monfed in here to tell us all why Fed is practically a lock to win RG if Nadal drops out of the top 2. Lol.

If Fed is #2 he's got a 50% shot of drawing Murray as his SF; as #3 he has a 0% chance of that occuring - that's the difference. As #3 he must play both Djoker and Nadal unless one/both are upset before they reach him.

rf only cares about #1. And I believe he knows it's not going to be easy to get it back. So he is preparing for the big events. The rankings of the top 4 don't matter a lot imo since any one of them will most likely have to beat some combination of 2 of the other 3 for them to win a major tournament.

please correct me if I'm wrong.
But this difference is already with dropping the MC points from 2011 right?
If so than Nadal dropped 720 points ( 9935 to 9215). But didn't he won MC last year?
Well, in my calculation he had to drop to 8935!?
Either I'm right or I'm totally wrong, in that case please don't juge me
