TW didn't charge me for the price difference when I upgraded from GR3 to GR4.
On top of that I got my GR4 in 4 days.

Did you include a note asking for the upgrade or did they do it without asking?

^^^

The upgrade to GR4 was a must. They were out of GR3 on my size.

^yes, but there still look very wearable so I'd keep going closer to 6 months.

BTW, I always put holes in the outside of both heels on CBs first too, then the inner forefoot of my left.

Yes they are.

sportseva115- it's very common to wear the outside of the heel, it's not from dragging it's landing and pushing off I believe. I also wear the inside forefront like you and the toe.

wow, those look almost identical to mine! I wore through more white than that though... you're still on outsole, not midsole haha. it took me another month from there.

It's actually from how people's feet naturally align. Some people's are neutral, others supinate or pronate. If they supinate, meaning your outside heel touches down first when you walk/run, then you'll wear shoes out like that. My buddy's feet supinate, so all his shoes are worn out on the outside heel. I've put on a pair and the things feel weird because they are so lopsided from the uneven wear.

ahh I see... I didnt realize that people differ in their movements so much, thanks for letting me know!
as for the durability, I know I got maybe a month to go, but I wore out the dragon2x area already... theres a hole there now, and I'm afraid if I keep dragging i'll end up burning my socks lol

The thing I don't get is how you can destroy a shoe in only 6 months? What kind of courts are you playing on?

I live in Iceland so for about 9 months a year I play indoors on a very soft cort. It's kinda like a carpet.

I bought my first pair of tennis shoes in 2009 and I can still play in them. I have five pairs now that I rotate but I don't think one of them is close to the usage I see in some of those pictures.

Outdoor hard courts. I can normally get 3-4 months from CBs before I'm through to the midsole. Those who play more do it even faster. Indoor carpet is great fun, I play that when I'm in Europe over Christmas.

These hard courts. Are they like the ones I see at the US Open or are they "harder". We have some outdoor courts here that are like asphalt and others that are like concrete with a carpet over with some "sand like thing" that you can slide on.

And how many times a week are you playing? I play five times a week. Will take me another 2-3 years to go through my shoes

yeah the black/yellow/white 3.3's are probably from the promotion, mine was just from a nike factory store on sale haha
Sveinsson: for courts, I know what you mean by indoor. when I'm overseas at my home country, the only tennis courts are clay and indoor carpet, and I've been using a pair of cb 2.3's there for more than a year and there hasent been much signs of wear. Whereas here in the US I play on our college courts (similar to US open ones) and they wear out quick. Carpet and clay are much softer so they dont take a toll on the shoes nearly as much

Thanks for the info. Man I would love to play on a clay court. No clay courts here.

they look fine!

I cannot fathom how you guys can do so much damage to a shoe in such a short period of time.
