Would anyone happen to know the specs for this gem? And also how does it play in the sense of power and control?

Scroll to the bottom.

Have the 85, 95, and 110. The 95 has more power and feels whippier than the 85. The 85 is like a surgeon's scalpel, it takes a master to really get the most out of it. The 95 is more forgiving and caters to players like you and me. The oversize 110 is a great racket and seems unappreciated. Love them all and the 95 is certainly deserving of being a classic.

Thanks for the info. I've read the review completely, but it didn"t tell me what string pattern it is? btw the specs seem very playable. Do you think Philipp Kohlschreiber coul be using one on tour right now? or just a mold similar to it?

It is 16x18, just like the 85. If you hold the 95 up to the 85, the strings almost exactly line up, so there is a fair bit of space between the last cross and the throat. If I remember correctly, the string pattern is a bit more dense than the Prostaff 6.1

I was pretty intrigued with the 95 years back; had a more flexible, nicer softer touch feel than the 85.

But I went with the 85 back then, because it seemed more powerful and especially because of its fantastic control: great for serving.

yes I know they have the 85 on sale But I think more ppl would have bought the 95. If Wilson would have re-issued that. I think your average re-creational tennis player would probably has been intimidated by it. With it's, (what some say) demanding head size. IMO I think that more ppl would have found the specs for the Wilson Pro Staff 95 as very playable racquet. And very under rated. do to living in the shadows of it's brother attaining so many accolades. (the 85 version)

Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 95 (Original) is an excellent racquet. It's pleasant, soft, whippy, very easy to direct the ball where you want it. The only thing it lacks is power. It is not a power racquet. Using it for bashing from the baseline is an excercise in futility. You need a very specific play style to go with it.

I love the racquet. Found 1 at a flea market last year for $5, then bought a couple more off someone here and got rid of my other racquets. I'm mainly a baseliner, and I'm able to generate a lot of topspin off my forehand. The spin I can get is the main reason I like it; I can swing through the ball pretty good and it'll still dip in.

It's pretty good for serving, and fairly forgiving on most strokes (you don't have to be as precise as you would with the 85).
