I demoed the X-Dual Gold 94. It's a totally different racquet. I honestly don't see the X-Duals as being something someone would want to play with other than for the challenge, or maybe if you're super strong and just can't control other racquets.

thanks Marlin. are the x-duals supposed to be more at the players end or tweener end (relative to the Pro One)?

Calling the X-Dual (at least the Gold and Platinum, I didn't try the Silver) a player's stick is an understatement IMHO. They'd be great for a spin doctor, but for me I found an off-center shot will easily twist the racquet in your hand and they are VERY low powered.

the specs for the Pro One 18x20 are up... I wonder if that means they will be available soon.

I demo'd the Dual Pro from Donnay (they say the Pro One 18x20 will have the same specs) and really liked it; a bit more control than the Pro One (16x19) but with still the same amount of power. Will be interesting to see if the PO 18x20 really is the same racquet just different cosmetics, or if there are slight differences. |

I feel committed the Pro 1 16x19 by virtue that a bought a bunch. I'm almost afraid to demo the 18x20 cuz I don't want to have to switch! Kal El & Suppawat have commented a bit on the 18x20 in an older thread. IIRC, the opinions expressed were that the 18x20 did have noticeably more control. Cannot recall if they thought the power level was equal. Will be interested to see both frames on the TW power map.

I didn't expect the specs to be so different. Slightly heavier, more headlight, and stiffer. I'm glad I didn't wait for my purposes.

my old Prince POG OS, has now been beaten in this department. |

I'm thinking it's your string choice or you hit über hard. I get my normal string life with the P1. Full multi lasts 10-12 hours. Hybrid = 12-14. Full poly I usually don't break because I restring after 12+ hours. Other 16x19 pattern racquets are about the same for me. Are you coming from a racquet with a denser pattern? Do you use really thin gauge strings or high tension? Just curious.

X-Dual Pro is a low powered racquet. I tried Donnay X-Poly/X-Syncore at 52 lbs, and loved the feel of this hybrid. The only problem is low power. Then I changed main string to Weisscannon SilverString and it helped. Now I use a test poly string at 52 lbs (look like ALU Power Rough, but softer) and lead tape at 10/2 and 4/8. It plays much better.

I think it plays softer than 64RA. May be 55-58.

Can anyone compare the Pro 1 to the new Pure Drive 2012 model?
