The Original APD is meant to be 67 RA and I've always found this version to have a small but pleasing flex to it - ideal in fact for those who prefer a stiff response but with a bit of underlying softness. Actually when doing soft polys strung lowish, I can find it too flexy!

Ross, I feel the same way about my GTs--firm but not stiff. In my mind's eye (yellow replacing red on the RG version) the 2013 is one great looking frame!

Hi Gavna- I'm approaching the 50 yo club. I'm a 3.5-4.0 player, semi western fh and one hand bh. Since you're very knowledgeable/familiar with the APD and PD, any advice or help in which might clearly be the preferred racquet for my situation? Thanks in advance

My best advice is try them both.....i have been playing with the PS Ltds for years but finally started fooling around with the APD+ and APD......try them both. Take the Demos out for a week and decide for yourself.

Very good...note that the current cortex piece will be gone and replaced with the new version.....what we saw was preproduction mock up and looked very much like the above.

Funny stuff - I just measured my APDGTRGE and the flex is 67?! I will check the other one too because I think it plays a bit stiffer but it could be me...

They are going to have the monocoque handle because my guess is that is where the 'play and connect' thing gets slotted.

I think my post was deleted, sorry to those who didn't see the edited pic. And I'm not going to repost pics that already got deleted once, b/c they'll probably be deleted twice.

ROFL.. you fooled the TW staff into believing that APD was the 2013. It's obvious it's not from the cortex piece.

I can see if I had put some effort into it and got the perfect color and erased ROLAND GARROS on the throat and put BABOLAT, etc... but I didn't. Oh yeah, I accidently erased the stencil lines and a part of the frame.
