Default Australian open - 1975 First round missing Result.

Why there are no results available for AO 1975 First round matches.

AO 1975 had 64 players entry but if you will check wiki page for drawsheet they have mentioned that drawsheet does not have first round details.

I read somewhere due to this 64 players have wrong no. of mathces mentioned in their playing detail.

e.g. Some sources mentions Connors GS wins as 232 and does NOT include that 1975 first round victory.

interesting trivia in that link

Quote:
It was the first Australian Open match televised in America, on CBS, and was Connors’ last competitive match in Australia. Newcombe won 7-5 3-6 6-4 7-6. Mourning the death of her father in a car accident, Evonne Goolagong cried on her coach’s shoulder on receiving her second-consecutive Australian Open trophy having beaten Martina Navratilova 6-3, 6-2

I use below as my source and later douns same on wiki page:

the reason that the ATP counted 232 and not 233 wins for Connors was that they erroneously thought that the 1975 Australian Open had a 32 player draw and not 64 as was brilliantly discovered by Rosato and Tirone. Even now, if you check John Newcomb's player activity (he won the 1975 Australian Open) you can see that he won five matches and not six. This means that all the data of those 64 players is incomplete.

This imply that earlier they have wrong data and later corrected.

Dick Crealy: a semifinal in 1975 and a final in 1970...not bad
