2013 AeroPro Drive

I'm not quite sure what to think of it... not as big a differene as the pure drive, that baby made me wanted to switch sticks just on looks alone...course, cant afford to do that in college!
I'm guessing if the new one comes out and the 2010 aepdgt goes on sale, I'll just buy the cheaper one..

actually... wasent Nadal supposed to use the french open style apd at this year's french open? or is it just for the final?

I also would like to know if the PSTGT will just get another paint job. Based on past postings, I thought they might bring out a new version in 2013. What a bummer .

I don't think so. I think Tsonga was using the French Open version but I think Nadal is sticking to the regular one.

Pretty much every sponsored Babolat player like Querrey, Tsonga, Sweeting, Mello....etc all were using the RG special edition.....Babolat was clear back in April that ALL APD players would be using the RG paint job. Of course Nadal shows up with the same old black/yellow and at the reception in Paris it was said that Rafa is so set in his ways he just couldn't accept a new PJ for just 2 weeks???? Tsonga last year used his RG models thru Wimby and Sweeting, Mello and Querrey all had theirs in Houston.
Interesting bit was Brian Baker who at he start of RG was still using his own sticks and thus the black/yellow during his run in Nice and Paris. I bet he will at least get free stuff now.
The big disappointment is Rafa as every Babolat sales rep was pushing that Rafa would be using the RG special edition - alas Rafa does what Rafa wants.

It'd be funny is Rafa pulled a Pete Sampras and kept the current PJ and refused to move away from it.

From what gavna is saying I think the reason the PJ looks like an APDC is because Babolat doesn't care if they sell aerostorms and would rather use the PJ to make people think it's an APDC instead.

I wouldn't say they don't care......the AeroStrom is an extension of the AeroPro - thus the Yellow colorway. Aero Line yellow, Storm red, Drive blue......it was Babolat marketing looking to keep the performance lines in sync.

Rafa has already gone with he last two graphic changes....no reason to prevent a third. just odd how he has twice now not been willing to use the limited edition pj.

Babolat seems to have a 3 yr cycle now for changes - Pure Storms just done in 2011 - Pure Drives in 2012 - AeroPros in 2013 - then expect the Pure Storm line at the start of 2014.

I find it highly unlikely the OP has seen the cosmetics, as none of the sales reps have even seen them yet... Unless he works for Babolat... (also unlikely)... as many have said... "Pics or it didn't happen"

Hope the paintjob isn't too much like the pure drive i like the non holographic colors on the aeropro drive making it feel clean and unique to me.

Probably not based on past practice, but do it anyway via a link as who knows what will happen this time and besides it is actually good publicity and taking it down is part of the publicity routine as well.

Its like a striptease act. They'll show you everything eventually, but not too much too soon or for too long.
