rather than used by, they would have to say "recommended by" or something. They would have to indicate that it's similar but not identical. That's at best. At worst, the judge tells you to F off...

(fwiw, if you look at some American cheese, it's not called american cheese, it's called American deli product or something along those lines, because there isn't enough lactose to call it cheese. Something like that. (I worked in a deli my first couple years of college (parentheses)))

I think they actually claim that pros 'endorse' a racquet.. I dont know that I've ever actually seen a statement by a pro or their sponsor claiming they USE that specific frame.. but rather endorse it.

No, they're not, at least not any more than any other major company participating in any major sport, from golf to motor racing. Sport, for most companies, is an excellent form of advertising; they're using the players to advertise that the company as a whole (rather than a certain product, despite the way that tennis advertising is set up) has a strong product portfolio. That you're not allowed to buy the exact racquet that one of Head's players uses is as irrelevant to you as the fact that you can't buy a Mercedes with a Mercedes Formula One engine.

You can't "buy what the pros use" for a number of reasons, but the most important ones are as follows: a) doing so would likely HURT your game, rather than improve it, and b) it's just not worth it for them to cater to the small percentage of players who would actually care.

100% disagree. I have seen many pages, ads, etc. that say specific pro uses specific racquet.

I'm one that believes what's best for a pro might not be best for me but I don't think the companies should be deceiving the public.

??? why should it hurt my game? Nadal plays with stick of 320 grams? Most ppl here play with heavier. My sticks are from 320 up to 368 (leaded Rebel). If they put on shelf Monfilses stick, I would buy it.

Companies are big business with stock market concerns, they dont deceive, they just do what they need to do to make money.

He did change to the BLX version for a while but has recently been playing with K-Factor, he must just feel comfortable playing with it.
