This is why the 2 year ranking system is a complete joke.

Great final day at Augusta. Anytime a guy named "Bubba" wins a golf tourney, I'm all for it. Outside of the triple, Lefty played a good round and might have pulled another one out.

19 year olds, yes.

Although I dont think he will break the record anymore I hope he does. In his prime he would probably beat Nicklaus in his, but Nicklaus's prime will last longer due to Tiger's injuries and off course distractions. He is definitely playing better in general now than he was before, even though he didnt have a very good Masters. I think there will be a better idea in a year or two if the record is still realistic for him or not.

What on earth makes you assume Tiger would beat Jack in his prime? Oh yea, hes a current day player so he has to be better right? The PEDs surely helped Tiger accumulate his titles where Jack never did that.

One thing I didnt realize is Jack Nicklaus won only 4 majors total after age 35. Tiger is now 36 so officaly after 35 too now. Tiger is equal to where Jack was at this point. Tiger will have to best Jack as a "over 35" player to break or equal his record.

I think he would since I think in his prime he is more intimidating mentally to his peers, and more explosive off the tee (even considering the time). Also people who have played with Nicklaus like Johnny Miller and Arnaud Palmer, whose opinion I cede to far over mine of course, said they think Tiger at his best was better, even if he may not end up having the longevity.

All that said Tiger plays in a much weaker era than Nicklaus did so if he cant even reach his majors record despite that, he should never be ranked as a greater golfer, even if I think in his prime he was probably better.

Tiger in the hunt in R1. Media seems ready to crown him...I'm still in wait and see mode. Even though momentum seems to favor him and he's been on a roll.

I can't believe the USGA allows our National Championship to be sullied by letting Chris Berman near a microphone. His presence is about as welcome as loud flatulence on a Sunday morning church pew. He's awful. Come on USGA and ESPN - never again.

R2 in the co lead. Now r3....hit some bad putts now in 5th place.

Still the field is only 1 or 2 shots ahead. Now one is willing to take a huge lead into the final round.

If Woods can adapt to changes is speed of the green....he going to take this.

Still the 2010 Masters and 2009 PGA were such great chances. Hope he doesn't blow this away.
