Default Score keeper

Have you ever come across anyone using this:

http://www.amazon.com/Score-One-Tenn...809357&sr=1-33

It has a 4 1/2 star rating.

I was thinking of getting one to intimidate my opponents, but I'm not sure what to do if I have to play a 10 point tiebreaker?

I have an iphone app that does the same thing. I pull out the phone and change the score while I send out a few texts between points.

If an opponent of mine pulled one of these out, I doubt I would be intimidated... but perhaps I would throw them a few points out of sympathy for their encroaching senility.

Not one of those but I played once with a women that had watch with a tennis score keeper function. Just seemed like more trouble than it was worth.

I would forget to change the score and then would probably get all goofed up after that.

Yes, sometimes people wish to keep score with pencil and paper. Trouble is, they sometimes forget to write down the score. Then they are so wedded to what is on the paper that they won't listen to reason.

I'd rather just remember the old fashioned way.

There is a dampener which keeps scores for a game.

I played a guy once who used it and he was clicking and re-clicking all afternoon. And he needed glasses to do it. It was unbelievably annoying. One of those unnecessary devices.

In our district a women's team started a trend of writing scores in chalk on the side of the court. Apparently they were copied by so many other women's teams that the district eventually made a rule against this practice because the facilities were complaining.

that looks ancient

I also have iPhone app, and in case there is no score-keeping board, I use it (keeping score for games, not individual points as it seems a bit distracting to update every point).

apps are a bit useless when you can't actually have electronic devices out there in the first place!

It also great if the 3 other players listen too.

If you have trouble keeping score in a tennis match this is likely not the worst of your problems.
