Wait a second--he was younger when he was booted out of the 2010 and 2011 Wimbledon events (and his fans considered him the favorite in both), and history keeps a very short list of players able to win majors past 30 years of age. With Djokovic and Nadal far from his only threat at the event, and Federer aging--seemingly--by the minute, tells us how you have arrived at your "win" prediction...

"Those who cannot remember history are doomed to repeat it."...George Santayana

The short list of 30+ champions at Wimbledon include the victor on July 5, 1975. Coming off tough 4-set (vs a future 5-time champion) and a 5-set win (vs a skilled grass-court veteran), 32-year-old Arthur Ashe handed the defending champion and #1 player, James Scott Connors, a devastating 6-1, 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 defeat in one of the biggest upsets in tennis history.

I'd say Ashe's chances at winning his first Wimby title were far less than what Rogi faces these next two weeks, no?

Someone who has won 6 Wimbledon's and 5 straight are always going to have at least a 50/50 shot at winning the title. Just because he lost a final of a 250 event doesn't suddenly mean he's no longer a threat to win Wimbledon, people are so idiotic, how did Nadal do, oh ye he got destroyed by Kohlschreiber is the 2nd round, so by Fed getting to the final he's definitely playing better than Nadal to start the grass season off. He doesn't care he didn't win a 250 event he's already won like 5 times already. His priority would be just to get some grass court matches under his belt before Wimbledon. He played a poor match against Haas but he played very well in all his other matches. He didn't look hungry at all against Haas, im sure he's going to be 100% hungry for Wimbledon, considering he could regain the number 1 spot, also with the olympics on the horizon as well will just motivate him even more. Grass is Novak's least favourite surface, and has just come off a very tough loss to Rafa at RG, so he's bound to be a little hurt mentally at least. Rafa's obviously Roger's biggest threat at Wimbledon, but he could also be a little tired mentally just coming from a huge win against Novak, but will also relax him considerably after already picked up a slam this year, so he'll be probably the favorite going in, but Roger's beaten him twice before in final's there so he knows how to do it and what it takes. I see Roger's chances just as good if not better than when he came into this event in 2010 and 2011. I see him as 2nd favorite just behind Rafa and joint with Novak.

I don't think he has a good chance getting pass Novak or Nadal, looks like he just doesn't want to get down and dirty to play the game as the same grinder level as Novak and Nadal do.

I agree that he should play longer rather than trying all out to win a do or die grandslam and retired.

Well, he could easily win wimbly if Novak and Nadal got knocked out by other players.

I get your point. If this was last year....then yeah he a 50 percent chance to win the whole thing.

Just this year with the hip problem that concided with the French and Halle perfomances. He been iffy in every single match.....I just don't see a recovery in such a short time.

The only chance if Djokdal lose early. Yes he can beat Novak, and is still a better grass courter than Nadal. Even as a *******, I would not doubt unless he isn't in 100 percent physical shape. Which he is not.

We will see. Most likely Nadal will win the title.

No way, this pathetic, declining version of Toblerone will just get his butt whooped by Llodra or Isner.

Pokerstar is clearly the best player at the moment. Nobody else is even close to him.

It looks like the odds for both Nadal and Federer have improved slightly -- Nadal is close to 12/5 and Federer is up to 10/2. Djoko holds at 7/4 while Murray and Tosnga seems to have dropped off a bit.

Djokovic is still the favorite, with Nadal a close second and Federer a distant third.

Exactly.

If he wasn't injured, he'd be one of my favorites for the title specially since he has a nice draw. But he hasn't looked very good lately - but how serious is this problem is anyone's guess. It isn't too obvious.

History and the odds are still against him. Remember, its not just Djokovic and Nadal who can knock him out of the event, but many other players. Some of his fans can grin at the draw, but this may not be as easy a road to the finals (not to even mention a title) as some think.

I don't think GodNovak can cut it any longer. Pokerface is the favorite to win it, and by a good margin.

Poker >> Joker.

Um, no.

Since 2008 neither has won a grass title aside from SW19. Federer has been in two 250 grass event finals, Nadal has been in zero.

Since 2008 both have won Wimbledon once. Nadal has been in one further SW19 final but failed to even defend in 2009. Federer has been to two QFs.

Head to head on grass Federer still leads 2-1. Federer has clearly been more consistent overall since 2007.

But because they haven't played each other on the green stuff in four years, you're kidding yourself if you think there's a clear favourite.
