Moutinho is at Porto and Veloso at Genoa, so he's already in Italy.

I've never been too keen on Veloso. Moutinho is a tidy player in midfield though, i'm not sure how he would handle the pace and strength needed to excel at the heart of a game in the Premier League.

They weren't at their best tonight, you'd of thought they would of wanted to keep it tight knowing Greece could possibly of been tough to get goals against. Luckily for them it didn't turn out that way.

On paper they do have a good defence I think, Badstuber is very good, Boateng was excellent against Drogba in the Champions League final, Hummels is highly rated, Lahm needs no explanation, whilst Neuer is a great keeper.

Did anyone see the Chelsea plans for what they were going to do with Battersea Power Station?





Looks a bit strange to me, almost like we're playing in some kind of warehouse, or on a ship with those funnels!

I think Germany just got caught out a few times tonight. They were so busy going forward that they didn't think Greece could hurt them.

If mueller and Gomez had started, I doubt they would have missed those early chances that Reus and others missed.

I like the way they're playing, I'm sick and tired of defensive football from most of the rest.

I liked that we got to see Reus and Schurrle. Reus has a really stong reputation and it was good to see him play well. Schurrle has had a difficult season where he's trying to find his best position, he did well though and caused problems.

The Germans did seem more fluid with the speed and movement of those two.

It won't happen but Ozil would be great in the pl, he's got the size to go along with the vision, would be a nice fit at Utd.

Much more fluid. But I think the coaches of Portugal, Spain and France will all look at the German defence and think they have a chance. The German defence looks a bit like ours. The individuals can get isolated and may have to defend deep to survive.

I think they will get more protection against the better teams, where the midfield will be more balanced. Khedira and Schweinsteiger can shield the defence quite well when they have to.

Yesterday could be an anomaly, Greece are quite unique in their ultra defensive style so i'm willing to give Germany a pass for that one. Do it again and they will have problems though, against Portugal and then probably Spain, they're both more than good enough to punish any defensive lapses.

Re the Battersea Power Station site, I always thought that an unconventional stadium design, similar to the Indianapolis Colts' Lucas Oil Stadium, would fit well in that setting.







It is on the river, and seen by thousands travelling into Victoria on commutes, out of town, or abroad (from Gatwick), so the site really deserves something more attractive than another identikit bowl.

A warehouse design, incorporating the four smoke stacks in the corners, and with a much more open roof area (to allow for a natural grass pitch), would make it the most iconic stadium in the country, while also being in keeping with London's heritage.

Reus was the most dangerous player on the pitch last night. His movement and passing created all kinds of openings for Germany. Oezil's one footedness really made itself apparent as well.

That is a really impressive stadium! I don't like how the corners aren't filled in with the one Chelsea proposed, also the gap between the pitch and the fans is too big. I'd like the fans to be right on the edge of the pitch, with very steep stands so the players feel like they're on top of them. That has to be intimidating for the opposition.

I agree it is an amazing opportunity not just for Chelsea, but for London in general. It would be fine by me to keep Stamford Bridge, but the Londoners i've heard speak about the proposed design all have been backing it as they want something unique and different in their City.

Yeah, it's not the best ground, most Chelsea fans will admit that. From a business point of view it makes alot of sense to move, especially to somewhere as iconic with the potential the site at Battersea has.

It's just the memories we have of Stamford Bridge that keeps the fans wanting to stay, which is understandable. Those European nights against Liverpool, the parades leaving from the stadium after the titles and Champions League, the Barcelona ties, the FA Cup runs in the 70's, the fans saving the ground in the '90's.

No doubt Battersea is a stunning site on the river, especially at night. If we were to leave the Bridge, I think that would be the place fans would take to. It's only 3 and a bit miles away so it's not too big a move considering it's a small area.

I said a close one probably going to extra time, but England will have to play well. I have a fear that Pirlo will outclass Parker and Gerrard and get too much time and space. Give him that and it could be a long night.

You could say the same about us. Maybe they will improve but they don't seem fortress like as of old. Germany are very powerful offensively at present. My feeling though is that the system they play is better, or makes them look better, than they are. That is what you want of course, a team better than the sum of its parts. But it does give hope to the others.

They certainly are beatable, if they are to win the tournament they will have to get past Portugal and Spain, two tough games. In their first group game against Portugal it was close, Spain will certainly be favourites for the final too. I picked Germany before the tournament, but Spain are probably still too good for them in the final.

As for them being like us, I wish! I think Pirlo will give Parker and Gerrard a lesson tomorrow. He's so good to watch when he's picking teams apart, later on could be one of those times.
