Shane has been up a break for quite a while on Court 5. Duke web site apparently had it wrong for a while, but UVa website and Duke live blog had it right.

No service breaks yet on court 4, so no one can be "ahead."

Hmm, the ACC website had Duke winning 5-3 at 5 for a long time.

Court 4 (Courtney/Saba) remained on serve for the entire first set (according to the electronic scoreboard at the site). I was camped out on the other side watching courts 1-3, but kept my eye on the other scores.

Considering UVa won the first set 6-3 on court 5, I'm not sure Duke was up (other than on serve) in that match either. Of course, I may be wrong, as my attention was on Jenkins/Cunha, Domo/Mengel, and Frank/Torsten.

good win by UVA men - now time to hope Duke can somehow avoid being seeded 8 or 9 with USC looming in the quarters - i continue to be disappointed with Cunha's performances in big ACC matches this year (1-3 vs UVAx2 and UNCx2) - unlikely that he'll beat Johnson for sure

Duke women, on the other hand, should have locked up a 2-3 seed in NCAAs this weekend as long as the NCAA doesn't decide to go to crazy overruling the rankings when they seed that field

Not a great showing by the ACC in thr tournament so far. VT goes down to Harvard and FSU barely squeaks by Boise. Those were two of the upper teams in the ACC this year.

Duke will be ready to go next year. Losing Wietoska but adding Redlicki,Levine and Semenzato.

Some interesting results for ACC players in futures. Getting a good idea of how players will stack up. Styslinger def Redlicki but loses to Tahir. Also future Wake Freshman Jonathan Ho def FSU's #5 Gonzalez-Mendez 6-4 6-1

Styslinger defeated the younger Redlicki, not the rising freshman at Duke, and took three sets to do it. He was not really on form this week from all reports.

Styslinger's results this whole year haven't been that impressive. I'd say redlicki is the best domestic incoming acc freshman

Also semenzato made the finals of a brazilian future last week and won doubles with cunha. Duke is bringing in two top notch freshman http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2012/2175/mds.pdf

it's gonna take a hell of an effort to knock out a lineup like the following next year if people stay healthy and the freshmen make the college transition fairly well (yes, if, if, i know, but that's all you can say at this point in the year) - can't imagine falling before the NCAA semis, and should have as goood a title shot as anyone

1 cunha
2-4 redlicki/mengel/semenzato
5-6 saba/tahir/hemmeler

i expect none of those final 3 are too comfortable with being knocked out of the singles lineup after starting last year, so hopefully they're all putting in the work to get to the next level this summer

1 dubs - cunha/semenzato (the brazilians)
2 dubs - saba/mengel (the juniors)
3 dubs - some combo of redlicki/tahir/hemmeler/hammond

go duke! gonna be a rough year on both men's and women's sides for those who don't have some love for the blue devils!

I think Duke will have a national title shot as well. The scary thing is Saba at 5 considering he went 10-1 in the SCC at 4 last year. Tahir has been putting together great results, would be a near lock at 6. Could beat Virginia as well especially if Frank isn't 100% and not quite as good as last year. If that's the case than Duke is the ACC favorite.

Andreas Bjerrehus emerged this weekend as a top ACC player. Edging Yannick Maden and also beating Van Overbeek in straights.

There will be no bigger doubles point in the country than when UVA and Duke play.

I thought at the end of last year that VT would be bad this year, but that isn't the case. They have reloaded with two quality new players in Bjerrehus and Contini.

Some good wins for Brett Clark. He beat Hemmeler who had some impressive results in Tulsa.
