If it doesn't lose tension like multi and doesn't get too powerful it will be a real gem. I didn't find it too powerful...about medium-ish. Plus the power seems to max out at a certain point. I have to try stringing it a little looser next time to see how that plays.
So it would be OK for me? I have problems with tennis elbow so I only hit with soft multi stirngs. But I want to demo a racket for a few days and the demo is strung with this Head FXP Tour string. Is it soft enough?

Yes. Definitely

I honestly found it to be a lackluster multi.

How about durability of FXP Tour?
According to new RSI data it is the softest POLY, but I wonder if those 8 outer wraps notch/peel quickly.

If durable enough (8 hours or more) this would be my string of choice instead of poly/syn gut hybrid: I like stiffness rating of 165 so much more than 200+.

Plus I like the idea of lower tension, which is not applicable to most multis.

Good to know. I had thought about trying it but since we tend to like similar strings, I'll give this one a pass.

Cannot use these strings as crosses in a hybrid with a poly. They fray very very easily. Do not know about a full bed though.

Tried a full bed in a Prestige S @ 54lbs. First couple of hours felt pretty good. Serving, volleys, groundstrokes etc all good.

Switched back to a Prestige S with my normal stringing (VS touch @ 57 mains, Lux Rough @ 54 crosses) and there was no comparison however.

Not a bad string, but I'm probably not going to switch from my hybrid setup for it.

This is a middle-of-the-road string. And I mean this in a good way. While it will not replace a full poly or a hybrid set-up, it will offer the multi player better control and maybe a bit more access to spin, while maintaining comfort. Think of this as a toned-down multi, which will be a fit for a lot of players.

Agree. I didn't care for its muted and lowered powered feel, but anyone who wants a multi that isn't high-powered like most, this is one to try.
