Lightbulb What happened to Richard Berankis ?

What happened to this talented player that was supposed to be top 20 in ATP tour ? From what i remember, he had some weapons. but have not heard of him since. Will he ever reach his potential ?

Seems he 's playing in Winetka. Challengers are his "tour" for the time being.

Who said he was going to be top 20? Most people I remember didn't seem to think he had that much potential because of his small size and lack of weapons.

This guy is just not powerful enough to make into top 50. He is like poor man's marcelo Rios. except he is a right hander which hurts him a great deal.

This man is right handed version of Donald Young.

Fedace, yet again you troll and deliberately propagate misinformation.

Post a link to a story where he's supposed to be in the top 20. Go on.

You can't because nobody has ever said that. You've simply made it up.

Like the way you made up comments supposedly said by various pros during interviews until you were busted on it.

You clearly haven't changed your ways since being banned last time.

Well, his 2nd serves were being clocked at 50-60 mph during the Winnetka challenger event recently. maybe it was heat exhaustion. or so maybe he lost his serving power somewhere. if so, where did it go ?

Why are all the subsequent posts being deleted by the mods?

Both I and Bawss and stated that we've physically been courtside (Bawss only last month) watching Berankis serve bombs not 50mph serves.

What's wrong with that?

Berankis self imploded tonight in the tiebreaker in 3rd set. and Winner of the challenger event in Winnetka illinois is JP Smith.
Bernakis much more talented player of the two had several chances to win but missed out. If he can improve his mental toughness, he is going places.

Way to go JP smith on winning a challenger event. much improved after his college days are done with. Top 100 player but not sure if he can do better. we will see.
