2. over a grilled pita bread or fresh naan they sell at costco. with some mozz. cheese. excellent light /fast meal. be sure to put fresh slice mozz cheese over basil to avoid flying basil.
Not to be a down(er) CB....but we can't do yogurt or cheese; it's that cow's milk allergy thing...gets us sent to the ER. I might just give the "paste" thing a try and make a "rub" for some chicken. We love garlic and salt around here.

a paste is good too, u can use alittle canola oil (or other neutral oil) instead of yogurt. if have kosher salt, that's even better.

how about basil leaves, green thai chiles, lemon grass, shallot, garlic, some cumin/tarragon/coriander/white pepper, a little fish sauce, grated/ground ginger, some lemon juice

make paste with food processor

fry paste a bit in coconut oil until it becomes fragrant

dump in a can of full-fat coconut milk

put chicken/vegetables in it and let it cook, takes about 20 minutes

BAM green curry

it's delicious i make it all the time

when the coconut milk starts to bubble, turn the heat down and put in your meat. i typically use chicken thighs b/c i find chicken breast tastes like nothing

but it's honestly almost restaurant quality - i made it one night when my roommate and a friend ordered thai food and the dude who delivered walked in and smelled it and was like "what'd you need us for?"

i think im gonna try cooking a bunch of vegetarian indian food.
Saag - spinach and cheese
Chana Masala - chickpea dish cooked in a spicy tomato gravy
etc....
i dunno... it is either that or i start juicing tons of veggies, but id rather eat my food than drink it.

so NAMASTE my friends!

nice dats! do share your recipes! I always do chana masala. Very easy to make especially if you have either a pressure cooker or a slow cooker. I prefer the later because the flavor is alot deeper.

i also do Rajma as well (Red Kidney Beans), a friend from Delhi showed me. I used a slow cooker instead.

I make this Cabbage and Pea dish as well. Trying to learn how to make Bindi Fry. (Okra) But it's alot of work. Also perfected my Aloo Methi dish (potato with Fenugreek) as well.

It's really healthy and no oil. Serve it over rice or Chapatti's. I always have a blast visiting the Patel Bros or the Indian Bazaar. Love the atmosphere there and they pretty much recognize my face as I ask so many questions there.

Tsonga needs some nair men shorts to be like the wookie. I wonder when he takes a pic with isner or ivo, he asks to be closer to the lens or asks them to sit in a drain ditch.

geez coolblue... sounds like you are the "guru". if you have links to recipes, i'd be really interested. i think i'll use the crockpot too.

i think ill get inpired by going to: Indaroma for food and then visit the market next door.
http://www.indaroma.com/
http://www.gingerandspicemarket.com/

my goal is to buy a bunch of spices and then only shop in the produce department for a few weeks.
tired of corn syrup and preservatives. wish me luck, i have zero self-control so i might not get too far.

Well today was only 100 degrees... tomorrow 105.

Living right next to a popular running trail I have to laugh when I see all the dumb @sses running at high noon in this heat. Or worse, running with their dogs in this weather.
