I think the majority of tennis pundits and fans consider Fed to be the GOAT, or at least, right up there with Laver.

But I also think there is a pretty STRONG minority that will always question his GOATness due to his H2H vs Nadal.

For me personally, it's just impossible to deny that Fed is the Greatest and/or tied with Laver.

I fully recognize the Rafa H2H problem, but all that means to me is that even while Fed may be the current GOAT, there's more than enough holes in his record for someone else to overtake him in future (maybe even within a few years, if it's Rafa).

Neither Fed nor Laver are 100% perfect, in my opinion. But they are the best that tennis has seen so far.

GOAT doesn't mean you are perfect, and the end all be all forever and ever. It's simply an acknowledgement, that despite any imperfections, you're the best the sport has ever seen, across a full assessment of many different categories.
