You can ignore the above... Just back from a long morning's session/match, and having played a set with my Pro No 1, and a set with my APDO, as well as another frame, the best way I can describe my present general racketaholic mixed up thought processes is thus: ![]()

Funny, as I was talking with a friend this morning describing a doubles match my 4.5 team had a few weeks ago. After losing the 1st set and being down 1-0 in the 2nd, one of the opponents proceeded to "pull a Baghdatis" and broke all 5 of his frames, one after another.
They defaulted the match...

Played yesterday at 8 PM with the VCORE 100. I played pretty inconsistent, couldnt dial in my topspin strokes and had trouble with the lightness of the frame in terms of timing my strokes. Today the 100 did not feel that well with Pro Line 2 at 55. The strings have like 5 hours of playing time but the stringbed felt stiff.
At 11 pm, sitting in the family room and somewhat dissapointed (no tears at least, lol), I put the VCORE 100 in the bag and took out the unseparable Aeropro. Put the new, squared, red Bab dampener and a white grip. Will string the APD next week with Polyfibre TCS, one of the softest polys around, will string at 55. Will play today at 6 with the APD, hope it goes better! |

Technically the Rad Pro is 62 flex. For me it just felt too soft..may have been the strings, but I need a little crispness on top of that plush feel to really like a stick. I get that with the yonex, even though it is in the same category.
Have to say this is the best I have volleyed in a long time. the balance definitely helps me there. Also had a nice overhead that went over the fence off the bounce. Forehand winners are seriously automatic now. If the ball sits up in my zone, I put it away. Definitely grooved into this racquet with the string setup and stock weight. |

Pro No 1 is amazing - feel, build, all court, bla bla - but for me, sadly, it wasn't as good a fit from the b-line as my APD/O... APD/O has such easy blasting power that from the backcourt I'm more in my element, but having played around with the stunning quality Pro No 1, it felt... it felt like it bloody rattled and was toy-like and flimsy and bla bla bla... And so to the mystery frame... Pulled out my old PC+ Swirly and proceeded to enjoy it more and probably play better arguably than with the previous two... I most of all appreciated the stability, better accuracy and control (than the APD), and general b-line brilliance... but with its substantial heft, I know from past experience that it's probably too much to be a realistic primary frame. My muddled thoughts right this moment are to actually look again at those Swirly PDs+ I have... I'd drop some weight from the PC+, as well as gain some serve wallop... okay, the build quality and other aspects I so appreciate in the Pro No 1 may be lacking by comparison, but, I've long suspected XL may be the way I should go. And as well as serve prowess, I think there's a bit more 'body' to these plus-size Babs... I don't know. I need a cup of tea...

EDIT: It is very possible that my string set-up had a lot to do with my unsuccesful trial of the IG Rad Pro. Plus the fact that I didn't give it much of a chance. Balance and sw were not comfortable for me either.

The 95D may be the culprit on the elbow BC. It sure bugged mine. Its that stiff top area of the hoop.
Anyway, my setup probably won't help much..its more for a flexy stick. Og Sheep Micro 16 at around 58#s crossed with Topspin Cyberflash at 54#s. Really, really great setup for me. I don't think the 95D is for you based on your posts. Its more for guys who hit flatter, come from a heritage stick like a Pro staff and grew up playing tennis. |

Anyway, time will tell. Right now I am loving the 95D, played with it again and liked it even more. I am playing better then I have in many months, and I can definitely attribute that to the racquet. Question, would adding a little lead at 12 in the hoop make it stiffer and harder on the arm, or would it somehow make it easier on the arm by possibly increasing plow through and less bounce back/vibration when hit high in the hoop? Thanks

'But I'm trying Ringo.... I'm trying real hard to be the shephard...' ![]() I will have to live vicariously through the flock for the foreseeable future. While daycare payments will come to a halt 'Come September' (btw, great movie with Rock Hudson and Gina Lollobrigida- classic), on account of my daughter starting primary...... My wife and I are expecting another child!!! Hopefully it will be a boy.... I'm gonna keep trying until I have a son. It's not as if the process is displeasing.

Ha! Obviously you're not a father of all girls. King of the house? Hardly. To coin one of the shows my kids watch: Total Drama Island.

^ Oh yeah.
I buy dinosaur toys and Ninja Turtles because I can't stand to see naked barbies and stuffed pink things all over the floor all the time. Leonardo is married to Barbie btw. And tv?!?!.... I have 'dora the explorer', 'sid the science kid' and 'between the lions' theme songs eternally stuck in my head. It's their house (wife and daughter's), I'm just a guest with privileges.

Just be grateful you didn't have to sit through any of the Twilight movies...

^ I do.... and true blood. My wife loves them.
I just sit with the laptop on the couch, next to her with some head-phones on. In my own world.
