Hi Peter, This article from head was written in January so it appears the latest youtek ig prestige line is all there is for 2012, seemingly released early ahead of Wimbledon and the London olympics.

All ears if you've got some secret info though

I wish they made green Prestige.

Or rerun the Prestige Pro 600

I think Head could reintroduce annual limited runs of the Prestige Classic 600 and 660 in the iconic crimson or special colors/graphics with leather grip for $200-250 and they would sell out every time based on interest here on TW. While it's kind of a niche market, it would seem to keep the mystique going to collectors.

Is that a real Prestige or a Photoshop?

That green color is awesome! I wish Head made a green Prestige also (if they've never done so in the past).

I've seen a green Prestige in person and boy is it sweet. I'd rather a gunmetal one though, or for a flamboyant touch, purple!

Thanks for the pics. VSBABOLAT. Quick question: I came across a HEAD frame, the HEAD Special Edition Pro, and it has a blue and white paintjob. Racquet was made in USA and is 89.5 sq. in. Can you provide any information about this frame? It was only used once and has the white grommets, which I've heard are very brittle. From the looks of this frame and putting it alongside the Prestige Mids, they seem to be of the same mold.

Any information would be great and thank you!

The Special Edition Pro was from the same mold as the Graphite Pro. Not the Prestige Mid. It was from 1987-1988.

Oh really? Thanks for the insight. When I compare it with the Prestige Mid. the two look identical. Can this frame be capped? Was their a limited number released hence the "Special Edition" Pro? I was thinking of cutting out the strings (original) and taking out the original white grommets and replacing it with the CAP grommets? Will this work or is better to leaave the original grommets on?

Thanks again!

If the White grommets are brittle than you can put C.A.P. Grommets on it. It's a slightly different drill pattern. But they will work. I don't know if it was a Limited release. I was using the Graphite Pro at the time.

Was the Graphite Pro the same mold as the Prestige Mids? After comparing the Special Edition Pro to the Prestige Mid, I can't find any differences in the molding of the racquet...
