This may be a weird question but if I need to wear an ankle brace on one leg, would it be wise to wear one on the other even though it may not need one. What are some opinions? Thanks.

That depends, are you wearing them for preventive purposes, or the ankle needs support?
If an ankle needs the support, then wear it on the affected ankle. If wearing them for preventive purposes, prevent both ankles then. But it's really up to you, and how strapped you like your ankles to be. |

You should never wear a brace on an uninjured joint. You should definitely wear one as a preventative measure on an ankle that has been "seriously" injured before i.e. it's no longer 100%, but you should definitely not wear one on your other ankle if you've never injured the other ankle. Any physio will tell you the same.
