Stefan Kozlov won his second round match at the Godfrey futures tournament? Isn't this kid still 14? Impressive result to say the least, and it looks like he plays Jason Jung (ATP #901) in the quarters.

Pretty impressive indeed. He was playing Winter Nationals in the 14's year and a half ago. Guess this is one kid who's probably not too worried about plan B for college... and not too many people would blame him.

He should enroll in college immediately!

The parents of any 14 year old prodigy better have a Plan B. If they don't, they are playing roulette with junior's future.

Good point Clark. I hope continuing his studies is part of the plan as there are no guarantees in life. I don't believe Octagon is giving $1,000,000 contracts to 13 year olds.

Have not seen Kozlov recently, anybody know how tall he is right now, and what style of game he is playing?

Continuing what? His elementary school curriculum? I don't think that's his Plan B, C, or D.

Here is some footage from the Easter Bowl 3 months ago. (Starts around the 1 minute mark)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmYhXMSc-UA

Looks like he lost to Jung today 6-2, 7-6, but still impressive for him to pick up two maindraw wins at 14. Looks like he is still playing a defensive oriented game with good feel and anticipation.

I think legally, kids have to be enrolled in some sort of school until age 16.

Impressive in the 18s. Looks like he's grown a bit recently. From all the video I've seen, he plays very deep behind the baseline and defensive. He's out the picture a lot in this video while Alex H is hugging the baseline. It seems to work for him generally, though as his results have been good.

If you have results like SK, then no. If you have results like my kid or probably yours, then definitely yes .

Incidentally, my kid's hitting coach Alessandro played there and lost to the no.4 seed after a 4-hour battle. Told me today he thinks Henrik will be even better than SK when he grows into his size. FWIW.

Results at 14, 16, and 18 will buy you a cup of coffee. You still gotta have a plan B.

There's no doubt Henrik can flat out play for his age and size. And he's a great kid. He competes extremely hard and he moves better than Kozlov but, SK has a ton of experience, he seldom misses and he has an extremely high tennis IQ. Does Alessandro think Kozlov is done growing?

Kozlov is around 5'8 ,he does play a very defensive game and on these slower courts and players that look at him and try and blast the ball through him cause they see a smaller guy fall for it over and over .

Kozlov plays on their stupidity and just counters their shots . He shows a lot of patients and is in no hurry to lose a match and he must receive the credit that.

Great job to him keep it up SK

He thought everything you said about SK, just his impression was that Henrik has more to grow physically than SK... Maybe N1C was on to something when he said SK is older than he lets on "LOLOLLOL".
