Not really expecting many replies but does anyone know of any places that only sell sleeves? Similar to what basketball players wear but not compression or thick. I play during the sunniest part of the day and use SPF81 (yes 81!). I'm looking for better protection and was hoping to find polyester sleeves that run from shoulder to wrist without being clunky. Last resort would be to make them myself.

All of those sleeves provide compression; else they'd fall off. I use Skins sleeves for tennis; you could get similar from Nike or many of the triathlon brands (2XU etc). Guessing a triathlon store would have the best range?

I also use Skins for tennis. Works well for protection against the sun's rays. I too believe cycling stores/sites would offer sleeves. Here is something that may work for you:
