Lots going on with the Illiini this week:
Ram makes it to the semis at the Farmers Classic. Anderson played World Team Tennis last week and is the third seed at the Citi Open in D.C. this week. Julian Childers is the 5th seed and still alive at the ITA Summer Circuit at IndianaU. Nevolo, Rowe, and Ghasya are playing at the Decatur Futures. Illini Tennis Updates Also checked up on why former Illini Kevin Anderson wasn't playing in the 2012 Olympic Games. He didn't meet the criteria to be selected but there seem to be some issues between him and SA tennis. He has already applied for his Green Card in the States as well. Childers ended up as runner up at the Indiana tournament of the Summer Circuit.
Childers Runner-Up Rowe defeated Ghasya to join Nevolo, Hoh and Kopinski in the main draw of the Decatur Futures. Rowe/ Gonzales and Kopinski/Ghasya are also in the doubles. Decatur Updates Anderson is seeded third at the Citi Open in Washington D.C. Former Illini VS Present Illini
At the Decatur Futures, former Illini Ryan Rowe defeated Ante Pavic and present Illini Stephen Hoh defeated Nick Chappell to advance to the semifinals! And guess who they play in the semis tomorrow?! Great job guys! Go Illini!

Rowe's been playing at a high level within this tournament, I wonder if he's changed anything up. Maybe less of his serve and volley game or is he just hitting his spots well on serve?
