Default Strengthening arm and writs muscles

Hello

I've gone down the Squash route (a sport indoors that requires fast, whip-wrist) and I'm looking to strengthen my weak arms. I heard "Ripcords Exercise Bands" might help...

Can someone tell me if these are the right things to get for hitting forehands and backhands harder, especially with quick wrist flicks so I can hit it in a small space - and hard when I can get a good swing on it?

Also, are "ripcords" a good manufacturer?

Thanks.

Some here recommend the thrower's 10 as a general arm/rotator cuff exercise- maybe the wrist exercise part of it with dumbells helps..

Bands are ok but if you want real strength results you need to use free weights. Wrist curls, reverse curls, bicep curls. You should really do a overall weight training program and develop overall strength.

I woke up this morning and thought about holding the squash racket permanently higher up on the handle as it then makes the wrist twist easier. Though I could always do my serve first holding it lower down, then switch just after until the next point.

I'll maybe look into investing in a lighter-head squash racket and purchase some bands.

And yeah I know about overall strength, my friends drilled that into my head enough times. I'll have to start doing all those types of things daily.

Cheers.
