yup. players who have better rhythm n coordination r generally the ones with good footwork

most rec players dont work hard enough to get into best position and hold form through the shot. they just do enough 2 get 2 the ball. therefore they only hit their best shots sometimes - when they do remember to work 2 get into position, or when the ball is hit straight 2 them. the rest of the time their stroke is some degree o sub-optimum

when u r on the court concentrate on gettin up on ur toes and working hard 2 get into the best position for every single ball. u will find that ur rhythm improves, because u will be stringing together more n more of ur best shots

Totally agree. I found that after 40 years away from the game I had gotten a bit, uh, lazy. The more I consciously concentrate on good footwork and good preparation, the more it seems to be happening automatically (rhythmically), and the more likely I am to hit a good shot. I agree that this has to be done on every single ball if one is to improve.
