Default Stronger BH than FH when unhurried, but stronger FH when under duress?

So, then which would be your stronger side?

You take control of the point better with your 1handed backhand only when you are not being hurried, but your forehand holds up longer when you are being hurried.

So, your 1hbh is a better weapon from neutral and offensive positions, but your forehand keeps you hanging around noticeably longer in rallies that test your defensive skills, partly because your FH requires less prep than your BH.

Does anyone remember, in the course of their tennis development, ever going through a situation like this?

Live with it.
Your backhand takes more time to prep.
EVERY player has a strong side, a weaker side, in different situations, at different times.
Just prep earlier on your backhands, and swing longer/faster on your forehands.

I have the opposite problem. My 2hbh is better when I'm hurried as I defend well with it, but when I have time I can really dictate with my forehand. Like Lee said, live with it and work your game around it. I usually just try and keep the ball deep CC until I can get a ball that I can attack with my fh
