Default Nadal Questionable For the US Open and Federer worried of Nadal

Nadal is questionable for the U.S. Open
Ticker - Monday, August 13, 2012

Rafael Nadal tells the Spanish TV station Laverdad that he is questionable for the U.S. Open, which begins on August 27. Nadal has not played a tournament since Wimbledon due to tendonitis in his knees. "I don't know if I’ll be ready in time for the U.S. Open," he said. "I can't say yes or no. [The injury] is not the same as other years, and I have found it a little different."

Federer concerned for injured Nadal
Ticker - Monday, August 13, 2012

Roger Federer says he’s concerned about the health of his longtime rival, Rafael Nadal, who hasn't played since Wimbledon due to a knee injury.

"I was going to write him and check on him because I can't believe he's been out that long," Federer told reporters in Cincinnati. "I thought the Olympics, okay, that's fine. That's a personal choice. I thought for sure we would see him in Toronto, but now he missed Toronto and Cincinnati. It's very surprising, because it was nothing that we heard of prior to the injury. He played so well on clay, and then actually seemed fine at Wimbledon. He had more time by losing earlier at Wimbledon. So it came as big surprise now, these two pull outs for me. Even the Olympics, too. So I'm sad for him. I hope he'll be back for the [U.S.] Open."

Nadal injury could be way worse than 09.....looks like he aint in the Open this time. Federer looking worried....great to see that from a great ambassador. Truly think he misses Nadal like SW19 09!

Utter crap. Federer is secretly laughing with glee on the inside, now that his biggest rival is no longer a threat at slams.

That thread has gone to the dawgs.

Federer is, of course, worried about the bigger picture. Tennis benefits from Nadal's appearance. And "Nadal is the greatest human in world history" as we have been reminded so often, so Roger is right in showing respect to someone greater and infinitely more talented than himself.

In any case, now there are so many players capable of beating Fred that Nadal being injured will hardly be cause for him to be secretly laughing.

Yeah, right. Federer WANTS to play Nadal. He loves the challenge of playing Nadal. He wants to finally have the opportunity to spank Nadal at the US Open, but it looks like Nadal has chickened out once again.

Something has to be wrong if players are getting worried about Nadal.

You are right,my friend.Fed is a Great Champion and his thought process is different from us.He wants Rafa to return,so that,he can spank him in the US OPEN.

No Fred is very happy because he knows he only has to play Djokovic in the final instead of semi & final with Stupid Saturday.

God gracious! So many atrocious, blood-minded, evil idiots in one forum. As if this zoo was specially collected.
BullDogTennis, Zarfot Z, BreakPoint, Sabratha, I do hope that tendonitis catches you in all your tendons simultanesously so that you learn what being ill is and maybe (a very slim chance though) something about kindness and sympathy.

It's not like it's the end of the world for Nadal. There are billions of people who would trade bad knees for Nadal's bank account in a heartbeat. Nadal is still one of the most fortunate guys on the face of the Earth. It's not that bad.

that, my friend, is called The Baconator Burger from Wendy's.

I believe it is 2 quarter pound patties, something like 6 or 8 strips of bacon and two slices of cheese.

Pure american heart attack food.

Pray tell, how exactly am I being an 'atrocious, blood-minded, evil idiot'? All I'm doing is smoking out Federer's BS statement and false sympathy. It seems as if you are the evil idiot here, hoping that tendinitis befalls us for no apparent reason.
