Default Donnay X-Micron 16 Strings?

I am a good junior male player who recently won some Donnay strings. I as wondering if they are good and if so what are they good for.

Thanks

Uhh you've NEVER broken a string but you've won prizes for tennis? Haha okay.

Just because I've never broken a string doesn't mean that I'm not good.

Coming from a person barely played top 6 at Davie high school yet wanted to go to Bolleteri's academy and become a pro tennis player. Lay off. He's 12 years old.

OP, I'd just try it out at your regular tension.

4 and 5 is barely? Okay bro.
Doesn't everyone wanna go pro? And asking about the cost isn't the same as saying "I wanna go."
Also, every person who takes tennis seriously wants to go there, well everyone I've talked to has. So...hop off? k thanks

You have absolutely zero room whatsoever to criticize someone else's tennis skills. It's doubly ridiculous when you're arguing back at a top level recruit like U&C.

To the OP, I have never tried their strings so I cannot attest to their playability myself. HOWEVER! They have gotten very good reviews. What racquet and tension do you use now and with what string? I recall you said you used Hurricane and then switched to Xcel I think?

Point being, you have no room to criticize him. He didn't say, "I won these strings by being a great tennis player." He said that he won them. It could have just been a give away at a Donnay tent at a tournament.

Also, I wouldn't want to go to Bolleteri's, and I'm pretty sure I take tennis seriously.

I use the Babolat Xtra sweetspot racquet with Xcel strings (still haven't broken them.)

The Micron is a nice string. It plays just like the old Wilson Reaction but your not old enough to know that one it sounds like. The micron is in the same family (multi) as the excel so if you scored a free set I don't think you'll try it and hate it. Keep the tension the same as your excel and see what you like better.
