a former book on Connors, written around 1976.

[quote=juan guzman;6834491]Thanks I moved and I lost the book.I can´t even remember the writter but it was a US sport journalist.I don´t know if it is still available.it prortrays Connors from 1970 or 1971 till 1976, so it still misses many years, but it was very interesting and a lot of bath room talk.

It also gives interesting info about the "Heavyweight World Championship Fight" atmosphere of the prematch Connors-Laver at las Vegas, back in 1974 which opened up the challenges.it also talks deeply about the Connors vs Newcombe match at las Vegas, as well as covering deeply the 1974 WTT,WCT and Riordan tours, Wimbledon and US Open and Australian Open 1975, if I recall properly.it stretches until the 1975 USO final.

another sensational book written in 1980 by L´Equipe´s tennis specialist, jean Couvercelle and written in french is "Les cannibales du tennis".Ii was edited by Hachette and I wonder if I there is any piece still left, after 30 years...too many moves, too many books sacrificed, and now regretting it

I have an old softcover book on Connors by Jim Burke (if i remember the name right). It was edited in 1975, and covered Connors' early career, especially his trumphant 1974 and his Las Vegas match with Laver. The last chapter deals with the recent not so happy endings in 1975.
