xisbum -- my game is not especially awesome as of late. this would be a prime time for you to show me your experience over marginally younger legs. i've been amused though that i'm being recruited for age 40+ teams. senior leagues here i come!

cb -- got my londons in yesterday. full bed tour bite 17g at 50 pounds. a lot of power. a good chunk more than my exo3 tours. almost as much as a pure drive. that was surprising. spin was very good but not quite exo3 tour or APD level. quality control on these sticks wasn't tremendous. one weighed 318 grams with dampener. the other 326 grams with dampener. swingweight is listed on TW at 311 but they felt a little sluggish. balance on these are 4 pts HL. but just on comfort alone they are very nice and the feedback on a well struck ball is nice. i wish i felt that more often than 1 out of 10 shots.

sup -- i know i'm a slappy forehand hitter. i know i need to not break my wrist on forehands. you know it, i know it, the american people know it. what's the easiest cure? when i keep the wrist laid back -- my forehands have nice pop and sizzle. the other 9 forehands are mostly pop and fizzle. any mental tricks? ball machine? hypnotherapy?

what's for lunch people? i'm falling off the exercise wagon. i'm getting some banh mi -- great suggestion CB.

Tourbite at low tensions = magic!!!!

I'm trying to fall back on the exercise wagon, was my excuse for signing up for a weekly tennis clinic at 4 seasons - Tennis Yay!!!!

CB - When do you want to do some lunch. Sappy, TM - any DC locations we could lunch at sometime close to the red line?

zap -- do me a favor and weigh your londons if you can. i found my londons to be 8 grams apart. maybe yours have better quality control. i'll be happy to give you another visit to the bakery for bagels and breadsticks.

auzzie -- don't be a stranger. i know the time difference is huge down under. it's 11:00am here and where you are it's 1985.

I don't have a great kick serve - average at best. Every now and then, I hit a decent one...

But the best ones do let it drop a little more before striking it. It does loop more when you do that with all the racquet head speed brushing upward - the massive topspin will bring it down into the court and "kick" up when it bounces. Just lots of practice will get it to kick more with better pace, too.

Downs and I have had a few colleagues that have pretty nasty kick serves. Auzzie, as I recall, has a pretty good one when he goes for it.

I usually just try to balance it out with alittle lead. (or in my case, I always overlead. =) ) London is really lead and string sensitive. There's alot of properties you can change with the racquet. The one I love the most is adding lead at 5/7. Improves Plow quite a bit. But it killed my serve, but then my serve sux anyways.

Forget about driving to Eden. Gas prices is going through the roof! Dang hurricane is shutting down all the gulf refineries.

btw, where do you get banh mi in ur area? I thought all u have around ur area are burgers and Guapos. btw, do they still have Faita Buffets there? I can do a sap on them.

I wouldnt say I had textbook form, but I had a very good kick serve when I played a bunch. I never thought I would lost the ability so fast. I remeber last time I hit with Dats they wer epretty much jumping right in the blast zone, not over the shoulder or head like they used to. I also have zero placement anymore.

I just gotta play more.

Tennismonkey,

Laid back wrist tricks:

Accomplish even for a second during the forward swing to point the buttcap at the ball/opponent or open court.

Pull back on your forehand like your going to hit a two handed forehand. Problem you may be having is that your restricted you motion by openin up too much. Pull bak and let go I the left hand during the forward swing.

Your wrist may be restricted too mug if your choking up on the grip or your GOP size is too large. Measure from the tip of your hitting hands ring finger to the crease on your palm. I it says 4 3/8 without an over grip maybe you should go down a size.

Last method is to have sappy use cow prod to encourage you ... However I think he may go mad with power.

next topic: my fantasy draft is in 3 hours at my local bar. I pick fourth. Standard scoring. Touchdowns equal 6 points. Who should I pick?

6 points even for QBs?!? then you take Rodgers...even if it was 4 pts per TD, i still think you take rodgers with the 1st pick...

Popular belief is to choose Rodgers as a fourth round pick over megatron. Calvin is on madden football and I fear the curse ( got caught with Faulk couple years back).

Here is the average draft position on ESPN live drafts.

1 Arian Foster, Hou RB
2 Aaron Rodgers, GB QB
3 Ray Rice, Bal RB
4 LeSean McCoy, Phi RB
5 Tom Brady, NE QB
6 Drew Brees, NO QB
7 Calvin Johnson, Det WR
8 Maurice Jones-Drew, Jac RB
9 Chris Johnson, Ten RB
10 Matthew Stafford, Det QB
11 Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR
12 Andre Johnson, Hou WR
13 Matt Forte, Chi RB
14 Cam Newton, Car QB
15 Marshawn Lynch, Sea RB
16 Rob Gronkowski, NE TE
17 Roddy White, Atl WR
18 Greg Jennings, GB WR
19 Jimmy Graham, NO TE
20 Darren McFadden, Oak

http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/livedraftresults

It also has averages and stuff like that. Check the Auction values and Ray Rice is #2. 1 and 2 is clearly Foster and Rodgers in most poeples eyes. Rice is a clear number 3. Most likely you will be picking between, McCoy, Brees, Brady and Megatron.

in a 12 team league Id probably go Brady, and hit hope you get McFadden or Demarco Murray with 2nd pick and AJ Green or Julio Jones with your 3rd pick. Thats right around where the chips should fall.

10 team league I would grab Brees, maybe Gronk is still out there if not stretch and Grab DMC ( I like DMC). And hit up Welker for the 3rd pick if I didnt get Gronk. If I took Gronk then i would be looking at maybe Jennings floting around still or AJ green. But I could also be tempted by Jamal Charles. That would leave the RBs deep if I had Charles and DMC.
