I couldn't take it any longer. I found a used 95d on TW and had to order it. It just came in. Weighs 12.2 ounces / 345 grams. However the previous owner put a wilson kgrip on it, so that probably accounts for the additional weight. My crude balance measurements (ruler and edge of table method) showed around 8pts hl. Does that sound right? It feels light. I would have guessed 11.6 (not 12.2). Swings super easy and manueverable (in the office). It feels like it has a lighter sw then my apdgt and my heavier then norm pd. Plan on taking it to the courts tonight. Very excited. Love the weight, balance and looks.

What a mouthful..

Ahhh...Fedace was banned.... His posts seemed rather mild compared to those on the pro players discussion

95s are saved from the sell pile! Tourna products play VERY well in them. I was really skeptical at first because whatever combos I was putting in mine were good but not great. B7 takes the cake. Played a 4.5 match with it last night strung at 48 and was very happy.

Default My new (3) Vcore 95D's

I've been experimenting lately with these racquets and as well as the Yonex RDiS 100MP. Ultimately, these have won out. Thought I'd add my set up and experiences to the thread. Mine are all matched (to the 1/10th gram), then a TW 1.3mm leather grip is added, Wilson OG, and between 5-9 grams of lead added (still experimenting).

Also still experimenting with strings set ups. My most recent one is VS gut mains with Flex Infinity 1.20mm (white) crosses (52/4. So far so good! I liked RPM Blast 16g at 52/48 as well.

I can see that one on top has quite a bit of lead tape on the hoop. Is that one out of spec compared to other two? I thought qc was very good with Yonex.

No, they were all within 1.2 grams of each other and .3cm in balance in stock form. That one with the lead tape was simply the first that I added lead to as a counter to the leather grip. The others received the same (or similar) amount of lead after the photo was taken.

I'm close to calling up TW and asking for the lightest 95D they have...once I spend some time with my used 100S coming next week.

I'd be interested in hearing what weight you get quoted as the yonex qc is pretty awesome in my experience.

Hi all. I'm about 90% sure I'll be playing with these in the fall (always need to leave myself an out). Love the serve and vollies with this stick which is paramount for me since I primarily play dubs. I'm also a terrible slicer and I can actually slice pretty well with these. The only quibble is I do wish groundstrokles were a little tighter. I do have a few fly long (particularly when I'm on the move) that I don't see see happen in more controlled oriented sticks. This just could be nature of the beast and, of course, user error. I've tinkered around with tensions and have had arm issues in the past, but have been playing well with full bed VS Team 17G at 60lbs. I also put 2" of lead on both sides at 10 and 2. I suppose I could remove the lead to tame the groundstrokes, but it really adds some nice sizzle on serve. Love to hear any suggestions. For reference, I'm an average 4.0 with a poor man's all court game. Love the net, but run into the problems transitioning from the baseline.

hey 95d owners, i have my 95d with a YY leather, OG, bab square damp, 3g of lead in total, and it weighs 364g. doesn't that seem rather heavy? actually its even heavier than my 89t with 4g of lead (but no leather).

read this thread again and meags had his 95d with leather and 8g of lead and his came in at 361g. am i missing something here?

Bab square damps are heavier than Bab O's, yy leather v head leather weight???, I only had half an overgrip ala Stan, Guasquet etc......Im also sure I dropped the weight in the hoop to about 6g too so all in all that seems about right Mykoh.

hmm head leather's 23g compared to yy's 20g.. will do a weigh of the rac without grips just to see if it comes in heavier than normal. finding the grip shape to feel a lot larger than the tours.. just minor annoyances that is making me like the 89t more.
