Default Wilson Blade Club - Come on in you crazy kids! - 2013 info and more welcome :)

Hey Kids! Got some solid info for all here...

The picture that was on twitter of Serena's hitting partner with a blade was indeed the future paint job! No more gold or pink versions

All I have is that the lineup stays the same minus the lite and a new 98.

Tour 93
Blade 98 (Two Versions not just cosmetic)
Team

No word on stiffness ratings so I'm not sure if they are going back to the K Factor stiffness on the 93 and 98. I believe they reversed it for BLX correct?

Yes Amplifeel in all versions.

Thanks mate!

I always thought a tour weighted 98 would be a hit.

I add lead to my 98 in the handle at a lil at 3/9/12.

I doubt Wilson would do it as I see a TON of jr's playing this stick.

On the other hand the 93 is a sweet stick too. Just wish it had more free power on the serve.

Tour 93 with an 16x19 pattern would be so nice...

If I could have changed one thing about the 98 it would be a heavier static weight and definitely a more headlight balance.

Don't hold out on us!!! Hopefully they'll be an open pattern available on the 98.

God I miss my tour 93. That thing was truly remarkable. I've since switched to the k90 and BLX 90 which I love a lot, but I miss the bigger headsize for some reason. Can't wait till next year. I really hope they make one with a box beam like the one Dimitrov uses.

Then it won't be called a Blade

I hope they make the 98 closer to the nBlade 98...

Well even a regular 93 i wouldn't mind. A 93 box beam from wilson would be my dream racket.

Wonder why they strayed away from the black & gold.

I was kinda diggin' it, even though I'd never switch to a blade.

I have some info for you guys! Confirmed that there is a 16x19 98. Know someone who made the switch already Release date is January-ish.

Jankovic supposedly played with a blacked out 27,5 inch Blade with a 16x19 string pattern.

Thanks!! Good news. I think there a lot more people that may now be interested in trying the Blade with an open string pattern.

where is the weight distribution on this racquet? same for the nBlade?

If I wanted to have a neutral racquet be as close as possible in BALANCE, where would the weight probably go?

I always thought the nblade seemed a tad heavier in the 10 through 2 o'clock range.

do you have any pictures or evidence to prove this? before the blx blade was released people kept saying there was a 16x19 blade and all we received was a pink blade. I hope your source is correct! i always wanted a blade with an open string pattern
