Default Most ergonomic cell phone

Long-time TW posters and readers know that Max is older than crap. I'm getting hep to a new cellphone thing, and I'm shocked at how tiny and unfitted to the hand, ear, human body these little dealies are.

What a pain!

And carrying them adds awkward weight to your pants. No manbag for Max.

What's the most user-friendly, human-fitted, ergonomic cellphone out there?

(This whole thing makes me love my copper! Phone fits well in the hand, ear and 100% great connectivity).

Now that you're "older than crap" we hope the phone is the only thing that "adds awkward weight to your pants." I understand HTC is bringing one out any day now, maybe already, with a 5 inch screen and heretofore unseen screen clarity, as well as larger "buttons."

I'm just stunned people are so hot for cellphones when about 15% of the calls, at least here, drop off and you have to keep recharging them all the time. . . nuisance factors add up on this.

You seem to be under the impression that folk use these contraptions to make telephone calls...

Yeah. I'm kind of thinking that's the way to go.

Here's the story: long ago, Sony brought to the US the whole Japanese aesthetic of small, tiny, black boxes, with few controls, and those controls being marked with mysterious symbols known only to initiates and cogniscenti.

People bought the aesthetic. Things seemed "hi-tech". Of course, the transistor's size had much to do with this.

So there's since then been a continuing design cycle of small, small, small ; to the point that modern cameras are undersized for the human hand and cellphones are weird metal wallets.

Yeah, that's right: the dial is a good feature. . . you sometimes make a call without thinking whether it's actually good to do or not, and with the dial, you've got sufficient time to dump the call before it connects.

Good thought there!
