I tried to get a copy of Diablo 3 on the release day but it was sold out everywhere. and I prefer a physical copy over digital download.

Dark Souls = Best game of last/this year by far.

I'm still playing it and having more fun than any other game in a long time.

I've only just this week played "Halo: Combat Evolved" for the first time. Never played any Halo prior to now.

D3 is fun for a while, but the higher difficulties kind of force a particular play style on you. I have a 59 Demon Hunter which I've played only a little these past few weeks.

Yup! I guess this summer from the videos I've seen.

The only downside is though, is that they said you pretty much will have to get a PC controller similar to a PS3/360 controller for play. They have it built so that you CAN play with keyboard, but even they said it's not going to be optimal as there was absolutely no changes from console to PC in difficulty.

I know I'm late to the party, but been playing a bit of Gears 2 online the past few days...mainly Horde. Finally beat Gears 1 on Hardcore, but had to go to Casual to get past RAAM because he was insanely difficult and I didn't have the right weapons when I got there. Haven't even started Gears 2 Campaign, just been playing online for a bit.

Dark Souls PC version is coming out. But the name seems to suggest it;s going to be really harrrrd - 'Prepare to Die Edition'. Hope it allows you to choose difficulty..lol

Dark Souls is heavily overrated I think. There is nothing special to that game.

Here's where the real gaming is at...I was accepted into the Dota 2 beta a while ago, and since then I've been playing a crapload of Dota 2. But to be clear, I'm not a Dota newbie. Before playing Dota 2, I played regular Dota on and off for maybe 6-7 years. If you're half decent, let me know your steam username and I'll add you as a friend. There's also the 2nd International going on right now; lots of competitive games to watch. Fun stuff!

XCOM Enemy Unkown multiplayer looks good and fun - IMHO I'm hoping my laptop can run it.

Yes. It looks like it still keeps the essence of the original but with everything updated with current technology.

My laptop probably can't run it...but my desktop can.

I use a Leopold TKL w/ blues and o-rings to remove the plastic clack but keep the mechanical spring switch audible.

does anyone here have a Nintendo Wii U ? Looks like there will be some great games (Super Mario Bros U) Supposedly it can play Wii games, but a Wii can't play Wii U games? Like I said before I don't like fighting or war games.

Stop with the Dark Souls mumbo jumbo. One game of Dota 2 for me is infinitely more fun than that game looks. It's a hack n slash game with practically no variety. They make such a big deal about the penalties for dying...Go look at hardcore Diablo 2. Die once and your character is finished forever. Not to mention the fact that Diablo 2 has a ton more variety with characters and item builds, as well as many more things to do.
