Default Astorturf you entire yard? Anyone

Just wondering has anyone got sick to the death of yardwork and astrotured the entire yard? This routing of weekend yardwork makes me feel like the house owns me. And not rich enough for maids and gardeners. All Concrete yard is too ugly.

I looked into artificial grass, not astroturf. It's pretty nice. Ultimately went with rocks - most of the neighbors had gone that way. That was 5-6 yrs ago when the economy was still pretty good. Now you might be able to get a deal with a landscaper who needs the work.

Astroturf problematic, animals will tear it apart, also reflects and radiates heat, can make your house hotter. Could go with rocks or gravel as noted above, dirt and cacti if the climate is suitable, or plant something like juniper that will spread and create a leafy cover a half-foot or so above the ground.

The astroturds are astroturfing the backyards of the land. Watch out they come in hoards and carry prefab boards and get beers and burgers and an envelope. no pink slip.

Think Putt-Putt golf and turn your yard into a playground. With a Windmill and Magic Mountain.

A yard and pool are highly overrated.

What I actually have is the most god-awful water feature you've ever seen. Yup, I did it myself, thank you very little.

I call it "the cess-pool", but the wife actually seems to like it. So, that's all that really matters, right?

Seriously?? You are aware that there are other plant life besides grass, right? Go for natural landscaping, nothing to mow, no need to water, no leaves to rake, doesn't nosedive your property values (like plastic landscaping), and looks way better than grass.

Been decades since I've seen that movie. I never got into it as much as others. I liked Chevy Chase best in the Fletch movies and of course National Lampoon.
