This made me laugh for some reason.

^Nope, I went to a few UNIQLO stores in HKG 2 weeks ago and nothing.
Yesterday, went to three different Shanghai stores -- nada...
Going back to the USA now...

Got my white polo and navy shorts in.

Polo is a little lame. The ND logo is really pathetic, but whatever. Sleeve are also longer than RF polos. Material is also mediocre, but still really light and comfy.

Pants are amazing. Tight fit, stretchy, and pockets are terry-lined.

Alright. Some updates. The white polo is an extremely thin, not very stretchy material. Pretty underwhelming, but the price point kinda justifies it. There IS venting under the armpits and along the color accents. Zipper is kinda awkward. I prefer buttons. As previously noted, the ND logo is really lame. It's the same material as the UNIQLO red logos, and it kinda stands out as a BIG white square with a small insignia. I would've preferred a smaller square or a larger logo.

The shorts are amazing though. They fit just like Nole's on TV. Pretty slim fit. But they're stretchy just like adidas formotion ones, a big up over Nike's paper-like polyester. The pockets are terry-lined, which I guess is useful if your palms sweat. Nice details. Color is a really beautiful navy. Definitely worth the $50.

The shirt fits fine. I have a djokovic-esque body. I have one of his practice tees that were custom made for him and it fits perfectly. I just dont like how it feels.

Sure, they will want to sell tennis gear at some point, but that is not the primary objective. By the way, the shopping experience in their Japan stores is pretty cool -- free alterations in an hour on anything you buy there.
I recently visited their store in San Francisco. Cool store. Not so expensive and they seem to be good quality.

IMO its good bang for the buck. Most of them were very casual & trendy!

No more lame logo patch on a shirt sleeve.

Then this

Uniqlo US (2013. 1. 22.) We do not have any information on sales region or release date of Novak’s Australian Open model kit at the moment. We will let you know if it’s decided to come out in stores!

Go to the Uniqlo JP site. Couldn't find them as well. Are they really selling the line in Japan? or is it some exclusive that came and gone during slams?

I admit I had never heard of Uniqlo until I saw Nishikori wearing the brand. I experienced Uniqlo for the first time on a recent trip to Asia, my first overseas sojourn for over 5 years. I'm not frustrated I can't get my hands on Djokovic's line or any sporting apparel. I'm just happy to now be familiar with Uniqlo clothing. It has replaced every other mainstream apparel retailer on my shopping list. In that sense, I think Uniqlo was right in signing up Djoker - he's made a few more people aware of the brand.

I now can't help but imbue Uniqlo with the same brand halo as Toyota, Seiko et.al - mainstream Japanese brands with solid credibility. (The GAP I view with the same indifference as American carmakers and Zara = a South African-built VW...)
