Lightbulb Please recommend Gel replacement grip

Please help. I used to use Gamma Pro RX replacement grip. Very thick and very good at absorbing schock. but it would shrink little by little over time due to gel or sponge being compressed down. This is VERY annoying, like playing with constantly shrinking grip over days to weeks.

So i changed to regular wilson replacement grip with no cushion. and now my Shoulder is Killing me. I had no idea that replacement grip made so much difference on absorbing shock.

Is there a gel replacement grip that doesn't shrink so quickly and lasts longer than Gamma Pro RX grip ? Something similar but doesn't shrink and annoy you.

Thank you so much for help

I have been using mine since around May'ish? and it hasn't shrunk too badly. Just a little shrink but still works great for me. I put in around 20 hours a week and its been holding up very well and feels good too.

Yea, yours is a Gel and other one is air foam foam. maybe gel is better at keeping its shape and not shrinking ? what do you think ? and you don't think you lose any feedback from the grip when you hit the ball ??

Comfort Hybrid felt basically the same as Pro Hybrid but I'm just judging it from the 2 hours of play with it from a demo.
You can try these Gamma replacement grips listed below. I haven't tryed these ones out but they seem pretty reliable.

Dunlop :

Links above are grips i have not tryed yet so i can't give details about it. Reading customer reviews on these might help just a little bit.

Yeah, the Gel might have been more better at keeping shape. I don't think i lost feel, it played consistently for the past months and held up very well. For the low price of $3.50, I would have stocked up on plenty but i got mine at my local shop instead of TW. . . . They charged me $8.99 for it. Hitting the ball feels nice and solid.

Also judging from your signature, your currently using a Pure Drive 2012. Are you using a shock worm or absorber?

No, i do not use shock worm, it takes away too much feel from the string bed. maybe i will try the sampras dampner, but nothing seem to match a good vibration absorbing replacement grips from my experience.

and do you think that Gamma Gel replacement grip is as good as the Wilson one you use ? I was told that Gammas gel is kind of their top of the line replacement grip now.

what did this guy mean be careful when you are putting on the grip ?

"you have to b careful when you want to overlap the grip cause its very thin on the 1/8 inch for overlapping and if you're not careful the overlapping part will get bent to the inside of the grip, so watch that when you're turning it around the handle."

The feel I must say is excellent! It is very very soft and that gel is a miracle for sponginess. I believe it makes the handle so comfortable that u dont want to even add an overgrip on it. Definitely try it out and the price is very very low for a 6 pack if you buy more.

I'm not sure what hes talking about. But i just made mine as neat as possible without a bump going towards the inside. Just barely needed to overlap it to make it perfect.

Silicone might help also. ( I'm not sure if PD2012 has filled handles. ) I think there both pretty good. The Gamma one i had was shortly on my old racquet for a little bit because it got sold a couple days after. Later after i sold it, i decided to try something new and found the Shock Sheild and just loved it. So thats basically my story on how i got the replacement grip. I cannot compare both at this moment but from what i remember from the Gamma Gel replacement grip was that it didn't absorb as much shock compared to Shock Sheild. I'm using polys right now btw.

This Gamma Pro RX is what i was using that i really liked about shock absorption but hated the fact that it kept on shrinking as i used it and squeezed it. Wonder if it is similar to Wilson comfort grip. It also saids foam packing.

Also, if you don't mind losing a little bit of bevel feel, you can add 2 overgrips just to try out.

This particular customer thought that Wilson pro hybrid was crap. LOL but he loved the comfort grip.

"Very, very sticky and cushioned also. It is a nice blend of tackiness and feel, and I will only be using this grip from now on. It is honestly the most comfortable and amazing grip I have ever used. Thank you Wilson for coming out with a better grip than that crappy Pro Hybrid".
