My Coach just gave me his RF FO 2008 polo for free. Amazing condition as well. Just saved myself $150 and now I have 2/3 of my "grails": FO 2008, FO 2009. All I need is the Madrid 2009!

Count me as one of those almost positive Nike will keep the RF line just like the Air Jordan line after Fed retires. Probably not as many lines per year.

In some cases: the older stuff with more exciting designs, new with tags, will go way up. But anything used will not do that well - unless it's autographed. And I'm sure there are plenty of people practicing his sig as I type this...

I have this shirt in excellent condition. I actually find it to be very ugly and I never wear it :P

How are you washing those things? I've got Gillingham shirts from the mid 90s that have held up over the test of time.

I realize a lot of people enjoy being collectors, but has anyone actually made a profit from holding onto new tennis clothing for a long time?

Seems to me that some of the Agassi stuff has definitely gone up in price, but you need to account for inflation to see if holding it would be profitable. I would guess that putting money in a savings account probably would have broken even with investing in Agassi shirts, and putting money into a hit stock like AAPL would have destroyed the return on Agassi apparel.
