So far Ferrer has the extinguisher to put JCF out. 6-1 first set to Ferrer.

I am watching it and that first set Ferrero was just pushing ball back.. no footwork.. always on defense, Ferrer dictated play completely..

Ferrero wins second set in tiebreak.. Ferrer was not playing as well as first set and Ferrero hit a little better.. but still he doesn't seem to have that confidence .. but he was fighting..

Ferrero lost in 3. What was the last set like?

Ferrero started bad in the third set.. actually he had 2 bps on Ferrer's serve first game, but lost it.. then on his own serve he made 4-5 braincramp drop shots out of nowhere and lost his serve... the rest of the set was fairly even but Ferrero didn't take his chances to break Ferrer's serve at 2-4 down.. he missed return both times..

so, he didn't play big points well, and overall, Ferrer dictated more and hit more winners.. i was surprised how he was able to step into court on second serve of JCF.. he was good 3-4 feet inside the baseline just pounding on it.

Ferrer, without the "o", is and has been the better player for a while now.

Ferrero is better than this! People have been saying he needs time to get back confidence. Well its been a while. I dont think he has any excuse. Now that he went back to his racquet though I have some more hope. If he's not back into great form in Roland Garros, I will officially give up on him, which is hard because he is one of my favorite players.

Given that Guga is about history, I have to say I'd love to see JCF playing as he did in 2001, 2002, 2003.

I'm extrememly hetero, but I will also say that JCF is one of the cooler looking dudes on the tour. With the exception of this one that came up in a google search, LOL.
