Default Tommy Haas Misbehaving

Currently I'm watching the Youzhny vs Haas 1st round matchup at the China Open, and he's throwing his racquet all over the place, swearing very loudly at times (I'm surprised he didn't get a warning). For a supposed 'nice guy', wondering why he is throwing such fits?

Obviously he's frustrated with his performance. Being a nice guy or not is irrelevant. As long as players are not abusing the staff, I don't care if they swear at themselves or want to break a few rackets.

What a pathetic assumption. All racket throwers must be pedophiles, alcoholics, wife beaters etc. Grow up mate, a mans worth is not derived from his on court demeanour.

He's quite the nut, to be honest. Went bonkers for much of his early career.

I guess he's a bit crazy, but I kinda like that about him. I have no problem with eccentric people, they show a lot of emotion on court.

By the way, did he win that match?

He has always been a hothead on court.

That's the even funnier thing. He won that match in 5 sets and advanced to the Semis losing to Gonzalez.

He might be a nice guy, but he's always been like that, throwing fits at the court and yelling at his box.

Was he practicing a soliloquy for a Shakespeare play?

Have no problem with Thomas just like I had no problem seeing Marat or Goran go off the deep end at times....it's just who they are. All of 'em, good guys, just a little nuts.

I love the robotic voice at around 50 seconds in, "Come on Thomas!"

Are you new to tennis? (No, you aren't).

1. Tommy is not always a nice guy. He is most of the time, but I have seen him be straight up rude to fans. Yes I know that none of the players are perfect, but Tommy can be quite a b*tch sometimes.

2. He's always been a bit bonkers on court, especially when Red was coaching him. He kept up a regular dialogue with him during matches, usually with a lot of swearing. When he's really in a bad mood he speaks German so that he doesn't get in as much trouble. I don't know why, but I kind of love him for it, but I hate it when it distracts him and he loses because of it.

I don't think he said it was -- and I don't think he said that he's a pedo, alcoholic, or wife beater ... what a fantastic overreaction LOL....

I've seen him throw a temper fit once or twice.

He got mad at the Citi Open final in DC when Sasha started out-placing him.
