So the Blades are coming with an open string pattern? is it the 93 and 98?
Is the new open string pattern racket have same spec as the other blades or new specs?

The picture that was on twitter of Serena's hitting partner with a blade was indeed the future paint job! No more gold or pink versions

All I have is that the lineup stays the same minus the lite and a new 98.

Tour 93
Blade 98 (Two Versions not just cosmetic)
Team

No word on stiffness ratings so I'm not sure if they are going back to the K Factor stiffness on the 93 and 98. I believe they reversed it for BLX correct?

Yes Amplifeel in all versions.

Here's a link to the PJ as posted by BeerTennis

Finally found something last night on 16X19 Blade 98. According to specs on throat nothing changes from previous blades. I suppose it is possible that stiffness could change. Looking forward to trying this out.

I wish the 93 came in a 16x19. That would be my dream stick!

Agreed Fuji. It seems like a 93 with a 16X19 pattern and a softer flex would appeal to a lot more players than the stiff 18X20 they offer now.

Just hope they make it softer, blx blade 98 is one of the best sticks I've swung (performance wise), but stiffer than a frying pan

I wonder why is there such a huge gap between the last cross and the frame at the bottom, same thing with the IG radical pro... what's the point of having a 16x19 if the pattern would be tight at the hitting zone anyway?

I think it still makes the racquet a little livelier, but most companies have tight patterns through the hitting zone, although some tecnifibres and yonexes are an exception.

The yt extreme had a spread out pattern whereas the current one is less so.

If specs are supposed to be the same as the older generation of BLX frames then the beam should be 20,2mm.

However that's the target spec. Unfortunately although Wilson states that the BLX Blade Tour has a 20,2mm the reality is it has a 22-21mm beam:
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Wils...ON-WBLXBT.html

At least that's what TW came up with.

Time will tell...

Do you guys think that the new ones will have more flex? I ask because the pic of the 16x19 has a different recommended string tension. The current version says 53-63 , and the new one says 50-60.

Just some hopeful speculation.
