I guess it looks good, no offense, does not look like much of a change that pops out. I mean the PDR went form blue to full black on the 2012 PDR. I was expecting a bigger change than just this. It does look good though.

I've got to be honest, I like the look of it. Yes. Like the black and the fact it's starting to look a bit closer to the very first APD.

Best looking apd so far, but one has to see it in the 'flesh'.

The 'aero' on the shaft looks so stylized and geometrical that its more of a design feature than branding.

It won't be stiffer when it is an original APD painted to look like a 2013 model.

You may try it out as a demo using a soft poly in the low 40s. But, I know your concern regarding your wrist.

Yes I was hoping for more black also but at least it has more black than the Cortex and GT versions. i suppose its now a tradition to have that white and yellow accents to give the racket a modern, agressive and flashy look to go along with Nadals personality.

The butt cap looks good, that is about it, the racquet itself still looks as ugly as the the current, I don't see any drastic change in how it looks but the butt cap.

What i don't understand is :
A- all the fuss about this racquet, current/new since it's a horrible racquet, the worse I ever put my hands on, this is a low standard racquet quality wise, not even for free, getting 10 of them, I'd play with.

B- Too much focus on stiffness rating, my current racquets have high stiffness and are still arm friendly.

Its a matter of opinion. Ive used Apd cortex and gt, Then I used yonex rdis 100, 200 and 300. Vcore 100 and 98 and then came back to the apd gt. Yonex is much more solid but the design of the aeropro is better for my topspin game. Still, i use yonex 308 shoes. The best, best.

The date makes perfect sense both in terms of past practice and in terms of the usual rfirst acquet release season of January-February.

Its all about star power...any racquet used by gavin rossdale, jon lovitz, rafael nadal, michael chang, tsonga, woz, schiavone, querrey, baker, paire and countless immortal 4.5 league ringers is gonna get attention whether it plays well or not.

Also hope springs eternal that they will finally make one that doesnt feel like an empty soda can...
