So I guess the iPhone 6 will finally get NFC and a true HD screen

Something some Androids have had for years...

So I'm currently scanning the market for new phones. I want to see how big the new Note 2 actually is.
I think the Note 2 will be 5.5".

The best thing about Android..........you don't have to sit in Panera all day trying to get people to notice you and your iPad and iPhone.

You also won't have to start every sentence with the word...Like. Example...."like, you know I got my iPhone and it's like, totally awesome. Like it does so much,, like you can even like make phone calls and stuff, it's like so amazing. Like, let's go over to GAP and walk around texting with our iPhones....like that will be like totally cool."

For those folks who love CNet:

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57...d-iphone-wins/

Also..NFC sucks right now. I had it, and hated it Google Wallet had a major glitch in which it would lock your phone up that HTC had to fix.

NFC is not ready for primetime yet.

And its funny how people are trying to act like every iphone user fits a stereotype. The S3 ads are exactly the same thing. I mean 2 guys who touch their phones together to share a playlist and then say "see you late in the studio man"..LOLOL, that is the lamest thing of all time.

No, but I am not sure why you have jumped in and decided to take this thread to a personal level. We can do that via email or in person since you visit FL.

I'm going to just go with you are joking around, and in that case I will admit I do go to starbucks since the coffee selection here sucks.

LOL...

Samsung and other companies have finally picked up on the over idolization of the iPhone, and instead of just taking it are finally using it against Apple in advertising.

Again, I'm glad an American company is dominating, but mass sheeping and fanboyism is getting old and extremely tired!

Exactly. Dude, I'm in Florida right now. Totally pulling your chain. Relax, just having some fun. You've got to admit, Starbucks, Panera.....I cringe when I walk in there. Sometimes I pick up coffee for offices and see all the I sheep sitting there, blogging or some other waste of time crap, acting important, yet most are unemployed. I want to scream....GO FIND A JOB. Panera has now put in a policy, only 30 minutes of free Internet and off you go. The manager of one told me the I sheep were wasting all day there sucking Internet and drinking one coffee. Killing their business.

Yeah im not overcompensating. I just dont want things to get personal over cell phones. That is lame as I am sure you would agree. DRII is a troll account who posts from the GP section, so it was a no brainer to ignore that guy.

Actually my starbucks is all professionals for the most part just getting coffee luckily.

Definitely some tools in there on laptops being lame, but for the most part it is "give me my caffeine and let me out of here".

Not sure what area of FL you are in, so the level of dbagging may be higher in your local coffee joints.

I dont get why people camp out at starbucks or panera..maybe its the classical music?

You're completely ridiculous! You claim you don't want things to be taken personally; yet you essentially make the internet equivalent of 'lets take this outside' because of your insecure reaction to a few Iphone jokes/stereotypes.

I guess that should be expected from someone who makes the Iphone 5 their screen pic

I too, would fight PP over my GOATly Apple flavoured phone. I would meet him at the Eden Roc Miami and pummel him with steak and blueberry vodka.

Then I would fill him up with Basalt and GOAT him and his iPhone 5. Then I'd rush home back to NY for 4.5 GOAT match with the Epic Cortex King of Brooklyn.

And gmail search is a little off on iOS. You have to make sure you select all when you do a search or it just looks at the sender and you never find anything. I agree with that.

The problem is it only searches e-mails currently downloaded on your phone. For it to be truly useful, it should be able to search all of your e-mails. Minor gripe I know...

Rather interesting article in the nyt about how Apple has become the champion of specious patent applications and predatory patent lawsuits, including the one against Samsung.

I just tested this and it does search all my emails. It says "continue search on server" and then pulls everything. I have emails from 2006 that I just pulled in a test search. So...good news

Apple has been very aggressive legally and it definitely sucked when I had a droid (felt unfair). For example, if you search google for a restaurant using an s3 you will not be able to press the phone # in the browser and dial the place via a hotlink. Apple patented that and made droid OS's remove it. So to get it back you have to root your phone.

In all honesty that is a great feature that I use a lot, and it sucked when apple did that when I had a droid.

Dali and I just threw down in Times Square. It was fun. We are eating sherbert now.

The Gmail app isn't as smooth or nice as Apple's Mail, but I can't handle that Mail doesn't support push for Gmail, and you have to do an exchange workaround to get push mail for Gmail, then you lose functionality.

I use the Gmail app as my primary docked mail, and it works pretty well, but I wish Apple would wise up and allow push for Gmail in their own app.

As for the lawsuit/patent stuff, it's so dumb. I wish Apple would drop it. Innovation and competition is good for the industry and good for consumers. Did the Samsung Galaxy (original) look almost identical to the iPhone? Yes. But Apple has ripped off companies before, they have lately, and some of the stuff they've tried to claim as infringements are ridiculous. Not making this up, here are two: "A Square icon with rounded edges", and "if you swipe down and it bounces back at the end".

These lawsuits need to end. All this does is hurt consumers.

Yes you are correct you have to use an exchange account. I have done it for years now on my ipad, so I never think about it.

But in terms of functionality yes you lose access to docs..etc. For that I just login on the website, but I dont use docs or anything else that much.

It does not make sense why gmail is like that.

Funny thing though - the emails themselves are far better than on droid. They load fast, look much better and the functionality is easier for me. The droid gmail app would always move slow, you had to hit the back button or every time you opened it, it showed the last email you sent instead of your inbox..had to press a tab to get to another account instead of being able to see both..etc.

First time engadget has showered praises on non-apple product. The review is out of this world.

Engadget loved my old droid. I like their reviews.

They called this thing a "phablet". I have never heard that before..LOL.
