I thought so, that none of them would match up....I have two of PT 630 but they are pretty old now..
So the best way to get PT 630 (that is somewhat younger than 15y old frame) is to buy PT57A?

I think best way is to buy PT630 again...if you like it's retail specs. It is still not a big problem to get them in reasonable condition and much cheaper than PT57A. I have bought around 10 PT630īs last year. Couple of them like new. Check stringforum. Hope this help.

Default Best Way

What is the best way to hit the forehand with the PT630/280, hit it flat or topspin? eastern or semi-western? Your opinion will be appreciated.

the best way would be to hit it exactly like you normally hit a fh

How do you NORMALLY hit your forehand? Why? Does it give you BETTER result?

rather old-fashioned with an eastern grip learned it in the 70īs
am able to get a lot of topspin out of it though if the situation asks for it
i was a bit confused by your former post and probably didnīt understand it correctly. where you suggesting, that one should alter forehand technique depending on the racket one uses?

No, I just would want to know your best way of hitting with your PT630. So, its eastern grip for you! What's your string set up? Nice to hear you get a lot of spin from it.

Hit mine with a SW - works just fine. That said, I generally prefer the additional stiffness of the the Radical Trisys.
Spin generation off the ground is fine, even with 18x20 string pattern, but you notice it more on serve when comparing against a 16x18 frame.
Control is excellent though - more than makes up for any losses elsewhere.

And how are you finding your new purchase? (aka phillips39)

So if TGK237 is Prestige Mid, 237.1 is 18x20, 237.2 is 16x19, what is 237.3? Stiffer or flexier version? Which string pattern?

From what I know. is as follow:

TGK 237.1 = Microgel Prestige Mid Pro stock 18 x 20
TGK 237.2 = Microgel Prestige Mid Pro stock 16 x 19 ( hard to find )
TGK 237.3 = Youtek Prestige Mid Pro stock 18 x 20
TGK 237.4 = Youtek Prestige Mid Pro stock 16 x 19 ( hard to find )

The new ones Youtek IG Prestige Mid Pro Stock, change the code, I think they are TGT 291.1 18 x 20 and 291.2 for 16 x 19

Thanks, cmendez79! Guess I need to be on the lookout for a 291.2.

I had a mistake

The Youtek IG Prestige Mid Pro Stock TGT 292.1 is the 18 X 20, in another forum some guy just sold 2 of them.

The 16 x 19 should be the TGT 292.2 but I have not seen one and I do not know if it exist.

But all the 16 x 19 are extremely hard to find, because not a lot of pro players use them.

Good luck !!

Well, I'm not actively searching for one, let alone be able to afford it if I found it. I'd be just as happy if Head made an IG Prestige Mid 16x19 as a non-Pro Stock option...but not many non-pros seek out something like that, either.

I need some help....
Yesterday I bought two PT630. I already have two PT's with full CAP that I play with, but I found these and couldn't reject offer for 50eur. (Lucky me)
I saw on original Head covers that came with racquets on inside label that states production year 1995 (made in austria), they came without full CAP grommets. As they are in bad shape (grommets), I need to change them, so I found on our club pages that Radical Mp bumper, and grommets will fit.

I have in my shop 2x bumper and grommets from YT Radical MP, and I can get them today, will they fit PT?, and is there a difference because they are made from Teflon and not regular black ones.

I took some pictures of new and my old PT's, I will post them tomorrow...
thanks.
