-put the tape along the handle lengthwise, under the grip -put the tape around and around the butt end on the handle (for more polarization), under the grip -put something inside the handle after you remove the buttcap...I have used pennies, rubber bracelets, rolled up leadtape, fishing weights. MAke sure its secure and won't move around.

To alter a PD to make it more in line with a PD Roddick would I need to add weight to the handle or somewhere on the head of the racket ?
Sorry for the question, but I've never used tape or tried to change the weight of a racket.... |

It will never be the same as a PDR no matter how you add the lead, but to copy the weight and balance you would need to add the net difference in grams to both the hoop and handle but adding about 65% of it to the handle.. I would start with 10 grams on the handle and 4 at 3/9.

1- you need a less powerful racquet 2-your technique isn't sufficient to use topspin to bring the ball down into the court 3-stringing could be suspect

Seen quite a few adding lead to the handle to increase weight but no one using the leather replacement grip to increase weight???

Thanks....I realize that I won't be able to copy the Roddick exactly, but if we do like it I would like to be able to help the PD's for awhile.
I didn't even think about weighting in the handle... |

leather grip is a good way to add weight to the handle, but not everyone likes the feel of leather. I prefer a cushiony grip myself and don't like the hard harsh feel of leather grips.

Any PD users ever try the Donnay Formula 100 as well? I played with one tonite and came away very impressed.

Am still swinging away with pd,s and still loving them,
I got a good second hand yonex ezone 100 to try out and it's 1st outing wasn't very good, don't if it was me or the racket/strings as my shots were hitting the fence lol, but I've now strung up pro supex big ace @52/50 which I now have in one of my pd,s and 1 st impressions its very good but time will tell as I've only had 30 minutes swinging time so far,on court Sunday morning for 2 hrs of doubles so will give the yonex a good testing with fresh strings but will have my pd for backup in case it goes pear shaped,I'm hoping I like the yonex as its just different but again time will only tell!!!! Cheers Garry

Just curious, any of you PD users hit with anything else that compares to it in the serve dept? I'm looking to move on to or at least check out other similarish frames, ones that give me a bit more serve pop than my APD, as long as they aren't too harsh.
Saying that, I also have to add I had a little hit with an old PD Team and was pleasantly surprised to find the stiffness didn't bother me. I'm getting that restrung anyhow, so will look more at that and see how my arm fares.

yes i did try blackout in the mains and pro's pro syngut in the crosses @ 50/54 i wasnt over keen with it and it felt too low powered and had a lack of spin!!! control/volleys were good but the lack of power effected my serves so it got cut out pronto,i didnt see any point in trying different tensions as it wasnt the string for me. cheers garry
