Just started working at an LTA High Performance Centre as a Strength and Conditioning coach. It's amazing how uncoordinated some of these supposedly good tennis players are when it come to movement. I was never that ******** looking when I was their age.

^^^ Not a great way to promote yourself and your new position at an LTA HPC. Can I suggest you edit that comment.

Pls take Ash's advice.
In other news, only played twice in the last two months! Yikes!

Agreed. It was an incredibly unprofessional comment. If I was an junior, I'd hate to have the misfortune of working with someone with jazar's attitude.

^^^Regardless Jamie, I still suggest you edit your comment. The LTA will not take comments like that lightly and the comms team do keep an eye on social media and the like. One assumes you are happy to have gotten the job, it would be a shame to jeopardise that straight away.
On a side note, which HPC are you at?

Let's be fair, Jamie does have tourettes and the lta do have to take their quota......
Seriously jay tho even tho what you say may indeed be true its the manner in which you say it that causes offence. We know you may not give a rats arse but it does make you out to be much younger than you are.

To say nothing of those who may have family or friends who have real cognitive disabilities. It is just so much better to say "I was surprised by quite how uncoordinated they were for supposedly good players..." (or whatever).

Just come back from a hit with a 4.1, 5.1 and 6.1. . . .
I hate my life. Strengths - Serve, Return Weaknesses - Groundstrokes and Movement Starting a training programme effective of tomorrow to : Loose weight Become more agile Start hitting with the 4.1 once a week

No, it would be better to have said, I'm looking forward to helping the players improve their movement and foot coordination. Don't bite the hand that feeds you!

I take your point but it is possible to find fault with people. You - and I - might prefer a purely positive approach but if he is going to identify a problem it is better to simply identify the problem. Not use a needlessly charged word. Biting the hand that feeds him is another matter.

Let me know what you do re becoming more agile. That is a concern of mine that I never manage to really address.

I think I disagree with you about that. It is a public forum so you have to be careful. But nobody expects young players to have anything other than room for considerable improvement. So it is hardly a surprise that they do. In these circumstances to state the obvious is not controversial. But the way that it is said is very important. There is no reason to cause offence - to the players themselves or to other readers of the boards.

First Mens Doubles matches tomorrow! Really can't be bothered - 14 days straight of tennis starts to get old.
Hopefully will be some good competition but I'm not sure how strong the league is, guess we will find out tomorrow! Blades are still undefeated.

Had to post - we got dropped!
Hit with some new wilson's at the weekend as a player of mine was trying some new frames out - new juice 96 coming in Jan (based of the old Wilson Tour Henin hold), nice looking frame, plays a bit like a pure drive but with more feel (less stiff I assume). Would probably suit those looking to swap from frames like IG extreme, pure/aeropro drive, 0zone tour etc. Also tried new Blade 101, looks long as head shape is quite narrow, deffo one for a big swinging baseliner! cheers
