^^ I love how people just make up facts!! Italy has a "high birthrate"?? Ummm, Italy has one of the lowest fertility/birth rates in the world, 174th out of 195 countries in U.N. data.

Yes, the birthrate in Italy is lower than in the United States despite Italy being an overwhelmingly Catholic country. That makes me think that marriage rates must be in steep decline.

It also makes me think that the housing situation must be poor, which contributes to more extended families. The same thing is happening in the United States as more adults move in with their parents after they lose their jobs.
