The LTE network is incredible. It does seem faster than being on a wireless network. I love it!

Well just revealed....Apple iphone5 has camera issues. Many people complaining about a purple hue showing up. As usual..Apple says to its loyal followers...you aren't using it properly! Same with the iphone4 which gets horrible reception...they lied for months then admitted there is an antenna issue. Yikes!!!!!

They say that issue has been there with previous iPhone cameras. I've yet to notice it.

My microphone is going on my iPhone 4, never had that problem with previous versions of the iPhone. I rarely make phone calls but I'll be curious to see how it performs. If I was on a highway, I could not make phone calls on the iPhone 4 because I could barely hear the person on the other end.

Insiders at Apple, will admit the 4 was a horrible phone. My wife and daughter had a miserable 2 years with theirs. The 5 is light years better. Problem now, is our new plan which we only have 4gb per month of Internet data. I'm using wifi wherever I can. The wife and daughter.......I might have to start the beatings again!!!

The iPhone 4 was a stunning looking phone when it came out, and had some features that hadn't been widely deployed on smartphones yet (retina display, front facing camera), but as a cell phone, they seemed awful. When it came out on Verizon it got better, apparently, and the 4S was an improvement as well.

The 5 is my first iPhone, and on Verizon I've been very impressed with the "phone" component. I don't know if it's the extra noise cancelling work they did or what, but calls are clear, loud and static free on both ends. Much better reception than my older phones on TMo.

Exactly. The 4s was a big improvement, but the new 5 out classes it. I think the 2 new antenna help.

The only reason I have not jumped over to Verizon from AT&T is because I got grandfathered into the unlimited plan. If they ever get rid of that, I'm gone when my contract runs out.

I am very very happy with Verizon so far. Unreal reception compared to sprint, who told me that my apt was simply in a bad location for any carrier. Yet now I have full bars.

Shared plans definitely can suck. I have 2 gigs and use a lot of wifi so I should be ok.

Slightly off topic but was reading a review of the Samsung Note 2 (looks like a great device if you can live with its size) and saw the following mentioned, which I thought was nice feature!

http://www.trustedreviews.com/samsun...e_video_review

"Arrange your music by moods
The music player of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features a fun little extra called Music square. This scans through your music library, arranging the tracks by mood - passionate, calm, exciting, joyful or a little in-between. Tap a block in the 5x5 square grid and you'll be greeted with a tune to match your mood."

My Dad has the original Note, i've always enjoyed using it. The big screen, messing about with the pen, it's great to text on too.

The added features of the new one look incredible though, i'm sure he'll be trying to get a mid contract upgrade it's on a business plan so it's worth an ask I suppose.

All my posts today were made with the iphone..i web browsed and texted heavily on it today and im still at 71%. Thats really impressive to me. The droid lte was usually between 52-58%, which is not bad at all either but i didnt use it as much as i used the iphone today.

70 makes me wonder if i need to even charge it tonight. Most people say that you can charge a lithium battery every night with no problem, but i was wondering what other i5ers are doing and if its better to run 2 days on it.

I hate the snarky ad where apple talks about your thumb and the screen, but as a former 2 handed cell phoner, the message is definitely on point. I am one handed posting/texting/browsing now which is wild. I think many of us revert back to blackberry mode with most smartphones, but 1 handed use is sweet.

I don't typically get two days on it, because my cell service at work is spotty (always searching for a better signal, sometimes going between 3G and LTE which KILLS battery life), so during the week I typically get about 6-7 hours of usage per day.

On the weekends at home with a good signal and WiFi, I get 8-9 hours of use and typically charge only once on Saturday.

I wish I had good service at work but on the plus side, my old phone/carrier didn't get service at all, so this is a welcome change.

So you've never done pro photography or are familiar with the general principles of lens flare.

That's cool. I will still GOAT you under the light of the silvery moon.

I had an iPhone 4 for almost 2 years and I loved that phone. There was nothing about it that made me miserable. I was absolutely stunned by the iphone 4 when I switched from the 3 to it. I now have the 4s and my friend has a 5 (amazing phone), but both phones did not seem like as big of step up as the iphone 3G to Iphone 4 was.

Just took a look at some of the plans in the states and all i have to say is, my god. Companies like Verizon and AT&T really have you guys by the balls. 70 bucks for the most standard iphone plan and for only 3 gigs? sheesh. My plan right now in Canada is only $56 with 6 gigs and thats arguably not the best I could do plan wise with Rogers
