I have found an excellent Hybrid and have been sticking with it..Loving it. Going to keep it for a while as I have tried quite a few.
Mains Prince Beast XP 17G (Awesome Soft Poly with Good Spin and Feel) Crosses Yonex Super Tour 850 Pro 16G (Soft and Tons of Feel as well as Pretty Durable) Overall, this is about 10 bucks per racquet stringing and I love the playability, durability, and performance.

I do not believe there is such a thing. There are some effective poly/Syn gut combinations.

Cross: Pro's Pro Syn Gut. Soft syn gut that blends well with the poly mains. About $4 a racquet based on reel prices and the performance is good too. My standard re-string for a lot of customers. No complaints so far

Kirshbaum Pro Line X (sale $5.33 a pack), AlphaGut 2000 ($5.99) a set. Nice setup, less than $6 per stringset.
