I'm interested in it for some of my high school players (I coach a girls team). It seems to be a Pure Drive clone.
I demoed the X-Fast Pro along with 2012 Pure Drive Plus and Pure Drive Plus Roddick.

Contrary to my expectation, the X-Fast Pro was harsher on my arm than the Pure Drives.

Reading back over the thread, I do love this old quote fron nickynu...

Damn, I was afraid of that. Looking at the stiffness of 68, I thought it was a little high for a Fischer, which led me to believe it was a completely new mold. But I was hoping it was a fluke and they retained some of the Fischer feel.

Other than the harshness, what was your impression of the frame? Good balance & weight? Power? Was the demo strung w/ poly or synthetic?

That's odd. The other reviews mention the opposite:

I too was hoping that the Fischer/Pacific engineering could magically transform a 68RA racquet into an arm-friendly racquet. But no luck there.

I didn't hit much with the racquet after I felt the initial jolt, but what I remember is some diffused, disconnected, muted feel that for whatever reason did not translate into arm-friendliness.

I believe the demo was strung with a synthetic gut or a multi. I normally do not order a poly demo unless I'm out of options.

Well, reviews are subjective, so nothing extraordinarily odd there.

But when it comes to a racquet or string's arm-friendliness, I trust my arm the best.

You should always demo for yourself before buying a frame, but if you're going to listen to anyone, you can choose to hear from a guy who has an ultra-sensitive arm (yours truly) because of his previous bouts with tennis elbow, or from someone else who might have a perfectly healthy arm and cannot tell apart the harmful shock that jolts the arm from a harmless ping from the stringbed.

Plus, the other posters who compared the X-Fast Pro to Pure Drives in that thread did not specify which version of the Pure Drives. My comparison is to the 2012 models of Pure Drive Plus and Pure Drive Plus Roddick. From what I hear, the 2012 versions are far more comfortable than their predecessors.

I agree. That's why I have the demo on order with Tennis-Warehouse

Just waiting on another stick in the lot of 4 to get back in house before they ship out my order.

the x fast pro is a REAL pacific racket (the first "build" by Pacific) , is not a fischer paintjob like all the pacific racket (with the lovely fischer's comfort.)

I just acquired a vacuum pro mid plus from my dad. I believe he purchased it new in 92' or 93'. I want to string it up but the grommets are completely destroyed so I need to replace them before doing so. Where can I get grommets to fit this stick?

Also, what is the recommended tension?

Just recently I started hitting with Fischers and they truly are gems! On the bay I purchased a practically brand new Mpro No1 SL (red and green) and it is honestly the best stick I have ever taken to the courts. If I could just find some more, I would be more than happy to buy at least two additional ones but alas Fischer is no more and i'm not really willing to buy an xforce pro

Has anyone here hit with the X-Feel Tour and if so which Fischer frame is it underneath the PJ? It intrigues me as it is a tweener spec with a 56RA which my elbow would appreciate.

It's predecessor is the Fischer Magnetic Tour Lite ( http://racquetfinder.com/?name=magne...cher&x=41&y=14 ). I've hit with it a bit, and it is a real nice frame, but if I were to play with it I'd have to add 25+ grams to give it some heft.

Like other Fischer frames Pacific has released, it's fairly low powered, but unlike the X Force Pro and X Feel Tour 95, it's not a stiffer version of its predecessor. In fact, looking at the specs, it seems to be a tad less stiff.

I know a few people who are using this frame and are really enjoying it. From what I gather, though, you'll know from the first hit whether its for you or not. The people I know who have hit with it either love it or hate it.

Have you hit with the X Force Pro? I ask because I used the M Pro No. 1 for a bit (the black/green/yellow version) before demoing the X Force Pro, and found it to be a slightly stiffer version, but in a good way. It still retained much of the feel, as well as control, but added just a tad more power.

After many rounds of demoing, I decided I actually liked it better than the M Pro No. 1 and picked up 3 of them. One year later, I'm even more happy with my choice.

On a side note, I still have my M Pro No. 1s, and would offer them to you, but they were extended to 27 1/2", then put back to 27" (previous owner did that), so they're not the original handle/palette. Plus, as I said, they're the black/green/yellow, not the black/green/red.

Thanks McLovin, I knew one of the Fischer fanatics would know which frame it was. It seems like a real Marmite racquet and I have heard it described as "the lowest powered 100" frame other than the Gamma T7". Not sure if that is true but a lower powered tweener would personally suit my tastes so that comment doesn't put me off. I mod nearly every racquet I buy so not a problem there. Might have to pick one up for a demo.

smirker, just wondering if you've ever tried the Pro Open? Would that suit your needs?
